RBD remains an apparent bargain with access to such great assets and extremely limited downside risk for a company in this sector, given the breadth of the portfolio, track record in weathering bad news events stoically, and sensible non-AIM-y management.

RBD has weathered some less stellar news events pretty stoically, and on good news now is absolutely soaring. That should give you a picture of the unique risk profile here that the joint CEO's have created. Quality company, and a very different take on an AIM energy junior.

For the millionth time... ISA transfers can exceed the ISA allowance as long as they're from one ISA to another. Don't know if this is one, but "too much for an ISA" is moot. Transfers don't count against your ISA allowance if they're between ISA accounts. No idea what today's 60ks were about to be clear.

Welcome olda. Cetainly looking interesting as the epic scale of this find starts to become apparent. Make sure you take a look at RBD's other punts too, it's a very diversified company that was actually initially going to be set up as a managed fund, and hence has many different interests.

Hard to know, and I'm not going to make a comparison as though I'm not in UJO, I have friends who are and DB is a solid helmsman - these are both solid bets IMO. But to RBD's credit, they have a larger interest on the license, a fantastic PR firm in Camarco (see RBD dominance in headlines), and lots of other near-term drilling prospects elsewhere in the portfolio. It's also a less scary/binary bet than most O&G juniors due to the wide portfolio, and the fact that it's over 50% institutionally-held. The market cap is modest for the assets and prospects on offer too, which for me is an absolutely central metric for AIM investing these days.

£7.49 suggests to me somebody did a dummy buy to get a solid Ask number and accidentally clicked Confirm! Lol

Those of us who have met Stephen and Sachin in real life understand well why they work so well as a joint team. It actually keeps their decision making in check, and we have had none of the typical AIM CEO cowboy nonsense that so often discredits shares in the junior market.

I've been emailing Bango regularly and they do always respond, but I'm getting quite frustrated at the 'jam tomorrow' as the price keeps dropping. The business is thriving but that's no help to us. As I recall, they've said they will sell up once the investment market recovers and funding for conventional small assets becomes available again, and in more recent interviews they've actually said this is already happening. Thus, I can see this all being over within a year or 2 absolute max. I think people will be surprised at just how fast they'll seize on chunky profits to distribute and close up.

Whilst I agree they may scale up, they won't be dealing in investments of that sort of size. The idea of Reabold was never to dabble with majors. This is a short sharp move on a limited-time industry environment, caused by the collapse of the oil price in 2014 and subsequent dearth of investment for many smaller conventional projects. They won't get into bidding wars with majors over large assets.

S&S have said many times that this company won't exist for very long. They aim to take advantage of this rare moment in the market (as they have demonstrated nicely so far), and then simply distribute money to shareholders (of which they are 2!) and close up shop. Stephen Williams used almost that exact wording at an investors drinks event (the one where the cameraman passed out, lol).

Wouldn't take too much notice of today's price - look across the market, it's a bloodbath. No idea why this happens some days, but all of AIM is suffering.

Lots of people do that. They encounter a lot of trading fees etc but they control risk by taking small profits regularly, just hopping on the hot share of the day each time.

Not my cup of tea but each to their own.
