There's really no surprise to see a drop after a big raise and the following quiet.

While it's great that they continue to expand I think they need to concentrate on other aspects like automation, online presence, self service checkouts... probably improved branding too.

Looks dubious to me. They say they're looking to have the plant in place in two years? Not much on their website about regulatory approval or funding either.

In reality very little has changed with this announcement. You could say 20% less competition, but compared to getting down to the last two, means very little, so neutral story. If there is an upside it's that there is still progression by GBN despite silence for the last few months, which looked bad. So at least it's rolling forward slowly

Worth having a read about the announcement re demerger of OHA into Optima. Seems we'll be getting a share equal to that currently held in Marlowe.

Only thing I can think is long periods between updates and the market in general is dragging it down. Any B&M I go in is packed, and they continue to expand so hopefully will start to rise in November on the next update

As others have said Rolls has strong fundamentals, so should weather the hopefully temporary storm, but yes companies like Nvidia the writing has been on the wall for a while, so a correction before it gets any sillier is not a bad thing.

Really it's win win for labour going for RR SMR. They can say British jobs etc etc, further ahead than everyone else, so will get rolled out faster and really proven technology so less likely to have spiraling costs or issues. As far as I know all the other reactors are more theoretical. Based on larger designs

The actual reactor itself probably isn't far off as it's an adaptation of their sub reactor, just the civil engineering and hook up I guess to sort out
