I think you hit the nail on the head Brombarb when you say '..a drilling programme this winter to prove up Icewine conventional at least'.
To me that is what I want to see as well. I am hoping for a drilling project, to be started this winter, to result in us getting oil to the surface (hopefully), albeit via our farm-in company. That would raise us from merely explorers to 'asset holders' and open up a lot of new options for DW and his team including fracking IW2, opening Winx2, and starting a JV of some sort up at Yukon.
It was pretty clear the way DW described it that he would like to see a partnership for Yukon area exploration in the same way (I think) that we did on the Winx drill.
Lets hope it happens soon and this time we hit something commercial as this company needs to have oil at the surface now in any of our locations to be able to attract the funds to move forward for more exploration including fracking, or a buy-out. Oil should mean no immediate need for another cash call.
Good find Brom, Yukon exploration here we come! Hopefully with money earned from the IW farm-out.
MM's simply want us to trade as that is where their income comes from, and the more trades the more they make. They couldn't care less what the sp is.
Just my own opinion of course....
The term 'Large Buys ' has to be taken in context. Even the 1.7M trade was only circa £17K so not eactly significant when so many shares are in issue, although I realise to most of us that value would be huge on a personal level.
Wait until the sp spikes on FO news (hopefully) then watch the sell volumes as people dive out to make a small profit and allow the serious buyers in who are taking a longer term view. Then the volumes may be significant.
I'm with you Brom.
I want the FO to simply be the first of several steps towards proving what we have and that it is commercial in all forms and locations.
I have a very simple investment strategy Brom - greed!
Nice sentiment pinkfl, but if you had been on this board for as long as some of us you will know the majority use the filter option as I do.
We seem to attract all sorts of headbangers on here as well as the genuine posters (the vast majority it has to be said). Best to sit out for a few days and let the dust settle as it always does.
Guzzler, DW will have signed a NDA with the preferred bidder, and no doubt he is restricted within that on what he can say, when, and how.
He has always placed shareholder value as a priority, and that is a positive. It was bad luck that Winx didn't hit the spot as that would have got rid of any doubters, and of course the IW2 drill could have been better, and hopefully will be if they go back. Yokon is still in play as well and its possible that this FO influences what he can get going over there - we just don't know, but he does.
There has been nothing negative regarding the FO, so apart from our frustration over the time it is taking, all is still looking good for our futures IMO. No-one is getting any of my shares until their true worth is realised, however long that takes.
Classic 'tree-shake' early on by MM's - computers programmed to initiate before the true market can assert itself through genuine buys and sells. Just my opinion of course.
...or the MM's computer systems are programmed to push the price down to capture some auto stop losses and thereby generate a trade and earn some cash for no actual work.
'15p to 25p is more transformation for all I would have thought.'
This would be a good start if Baker Hughes had helped us re-frack IW2 and we were now bringing the black stuff out in vast quantities.
Unfortunately the FO pricing will be based on acreage and siesmic potential as it cannot be based on oil at the surface.
'Just sell the lot to China for 2p Davey'
I suggest 5p (at least) so that all investors get out with at least a little profit for their patience and support to the company over many years.
If this FO proves to be to a Tier 1 and the sp rises accordingly there will be a big increase in trades IMHO.
Trading figures in recent weeks on all markets suggest that potential investors are waiting for that confirmation (and drilling timetable etc) before piling in for the longer term, and there will be many PI's who will relish an opportunity to get out with any sort of profit after many long years waiting, although I realise some may still not be able to achieve that immediately.
Once the announcement comes, and supposing it is what we have all been hoping for, then open the flood gates and watch the fun!
How are you judging our 'success to date' Neversatisfied?
...and we think its quiet over here..!
I know that pain. I was in Desire Petroleum who managed to turn a declared oil find into water on later analysis - that sank the sp and some of my money with it.
Can't actually believe I am still investing in oil exploration!
Islayman I am one of those people who still hold the orginal Tangiers shares (now converted). I have continually weighed up the options since and continued to invest as I believed that the most likely scenario was a good farm-out or a buy-out. Fortunately by this means I have been able to reduce my average considerably to the point where only a very small uplift will see a decent profit, but that is not what I have waited all these long years for.
Like you and many others I am still waiting for the 'transformational' game-changer to happen, and then its off to the sun and kissing AIM goodbye. GLA, surely can't be long now?
Everyone sitting tight and waiting for news....
Same here Jiddy.
