Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Hope its happening, can't wait to find out what the news is ....
Stay safe everyone, that is the prime issue at the moment.
Great post Neverlearn.
I purchased my first shares in TPET (now 88E) on 10 Jan 2013, and have topped up ever since. Sure I occasionally sell the odd 100K if I need some cash for some reason, but then look to add more when the price falls again.
Having been in many shares over the years, and made a few bob and lost loads (especially at the Falklands) I see this as the most likely of all my past 'investments' to be likely to come good. I will hang on and see it through but hoping for oil to be found at the first level in this drill to give confidence and keep the sp ticking over.
Ultimately the HRZ is the major prize, but along the way we have a number of other prospects with Yukon and Winx 2, so hoping that DW will give some snippets to you all at the meeting as to how they are progressing.
(Brom) 'Looking at names who are posting we seem to have lost the interest / investment of quite a number...'
I'm here to the bitter end, whatever that is!
For me the real bonus of Charlie 1 would be if the HRZ gave up its secrets.
We have had a professional team looking at why we didn't get success on the last fracking venture and that is where the major uplift will come from imho. Love to see another go at Winx and some form of partnership at Yukon as well.
Just looking at the Sunday papers which are full of election reports (boring).
But one thing struck me, after being invested in 88E for may years (coming from TPET) if the Charlie 1 drill goes as hoped, and the sp rises considerably as PMO buy into other blocks and the HRZ gets a boost, any profit I make on selling shares may be considerably reduced by Labour's plans for CGT.
As if we haven't suffered enough during the last few years it seems like there is now potential for the gains to be diluted.
I think Dave Wall is perhaps letting Premier Oil run the PR on this one as they clearly have major contacts globally. Seems much more PR interest that during Winx, but of course target is huge potentially.
Who you calling an old goat 37pits?
Yes, I am one of those accused, but just over a penny and I'm in profit so maybe, just maybe, all these years of waiting for the stars to align may actually pay off before I drop of this mortal coil.
Great post LeMajor.
I continue to top up at these low prices not only to reduce my overall average (to a level that the leased land itself is probably worth without any oil) but in the hope of 5p - that is my initial exit target for 50% of my shares to produce a very nice profit, with the remainder on a free carry for Yukon, Winx 2, fracking etc down the line.
Me too.
Great video, thanks for sharing Brom.
Hopefully PMO will get a decent flow test that affects the sp for us all.
Boom Boom,
lets not lose sight of the fact that this company, under its Tangiers name, managed to find water right next to an earlier oil find. I'm still holding the shares that became junk after that so it makes me cautious of these type of 'low risk' statements.
I'd prefer 'no risk' when the drill has taken place and oil has been found....(hopefully)
The RNS sneaks this is towards the end as a potential use of the extra money raised.
Please DW, lets not start playing elsewhere before we have returned to the HRZ - that is why most of us invested and its where the biggest potential is (I think).
'Those investors that have unlimited patience will wait....'
I don't have unlimited patience, but nor do I want to rush and sell at the current sp. I have resigned myself that nothing will probably happen now until December when the drill interest may start to rise. If DW arranges something regarding Yukon, or pulls the HRZ rabbit out of his hat, then great - otherwise its hibernation time. zzzzzzzzz
Spot on Picardy
Torham, you will find the vast majority of folks on here are supportive and helpful.
Unfortunately during 'no news' periods or when other factors (politics, world stability, oil price, etc) push the sp down from where it is expected (hoped) to be then the trolls invade the board.
The answer my friend is not blowing in the wind (who sang that?), it is the filter button. I have used it effectivelly over many years on here and so I don't even see the originating or offending comment, and neither do I see many of the following attacks. Take the peaceful option and press the filter button while we all wait for better times.
(jaffas) 'TBF I don't think the market likes the deal, or maybe its just AIM doing what it does best and drain cash from PI's,'
Lets not lose sight of the fact that the pound is falling and lots of stocks are being sold down following the Prime Minister's statement on closing Parliament. I know 88E is an Australian company working in Alaska, but it trades on AIM so will be affected by the current panic.
For all those folks who are a bit down in the dumps at the moment because of the sp, or the RNS etc, remeber it could be worse.
You could be a supporter of the England cricket team!

I feel mixed emotions.
I am pleased its finally done and published, and I am pleased that our acreage is to be drilled to try and find commercial oil.
But somehow I am underwhelmed by the deal as it has been outlined. It seems PO are simply putting a toe in our water first without a real plan unless they find something. Prudent approach by them no doubt but I hope we have the cash to play our part without asking for more from all of us in 2020.
I suspect we will see 10x this volume if the deal is a good one in due course.
