Nearly 100m traded in just first 20mins of the day. Volumes looking good.
Earlier message posted on the Reddit board but now removed. However headline was '88 Energy going to the moon now! Hop aboard!'
perhaps some did?
the fact that Great Bear appear to be buying into PANR have any bearing? Just a thought.....
Clearly I was talking rubbish given the sudden sp drop over there! To me continuing with the drill even after a setback suggests they think they have something of value to chase after, but what do I know!
I am no oil expert, but their RNS releases this morning look very positive to me, and no doubt will have an influence over our close acreage hopefully?
'can’t believe how quiet it is on this board...'
What's to say? Many of us have been at this point several times in the past so we know the process. I merely hope that this time I have an opportunity to realise some profit from my many years of holding TPET/88E in my portfolio.
'Especially for those who have been in this Arctic wilderness for slightly longer than 40 days and 40 nights'
Since Jan 2013 - does that qualify?
Totally agree with rfarfa, only invest within a stocks & shares ISA otherwise if (and its a huge if as I know from many years being invested here) it comes good and we hit flowing oil, then you will be paying more towards the post-Covid recovery via CGT than is legally necessary. Nobody should avoid taxes that are legally due of course, but why volunteer to be at the top of the line until some of the tech and coffee companies start paying their fair share first.
'Owning 88e shares puts you in the vulnerable category ..'
That must be why I was given my Pfizer Biontech jab yesterday then as I help my 88E shares when they were Tangiers! No side effects other than keep speaking German for some reason...

BB - Luxury!
I bought my first TPET shares in Jan 2013. I held when they went belly up and converted to 88E, and have been buying 88E ever since. Seems like I go through this every year!
In the summer I did a bed and ISA with ii for my 88E shares and it was a doddle. Now they are 'Rishi-proof'!
...'and just remember GBP project now +11 years on from the start..'
Bought my first TPET shares in Feb 2013 - where have all the promises gone in that time. Still next time lucky I guess
Well worth a listen. DW sounds very confident.
With the increasing likelihood that Capital Gains Tax (CGT) will be altered soon to help repay the Government covid-19 borrowing, I hope everyone has their 88E shares in a Stocks & Shares ISA just in case we hit black gold next year and the sp spikes as we all hope, or even that a buyer comes along for the whole acreage/company.
After waiting all this time it would be gutting to finally get a decent profit only to see the tax man taking his extra pound of flesh because the pandemic debt has to be repaid.
If the directors want some shares they can have my multiple millions at 1p which would see me break even. Something tells me after many (many) years from the old TPET days that may be as good as I can now expect.
Wow, never expected to be hearing news like this so early before another drill.
I retained my multi-million share holding largely as it was not worth cashing in for such a loss, and on the basis that maybe it could gradually creep back to a point where my 'just sub-1p' average could be achieved at some point and I could get out with not too much of a hit. With all this news it seems almost impossible to be thinking about a potential profit again!
Good times to come hopefully with our new acquisitions and multiple opportunities. Good luck to all who stayed with it during the hard times. Stay safe everyone.
Glad I stayed now.....
Be good to see some positive news brom, lockdown is bad enough but without an end in sight for 88E its just gloomy.
Trying to decide whether to sell all, put the money into my new S&S ISA, and buy back in that account at today's prices so that any upsurge is profit (ie, forget the loss on the sale).
Hard to know what is best while waiting for any news to lift the boredom.
