Shares in William Sinclair rise 11.6 percent after the garden products supplier's second-quarter trade improves as recession-hit Britons put more effort into their gardens and grow their own vegetables.
'The company has had a strong start to its selling season in March which has continued into April. We are making no changes to forecasts ahead of interims expected on June 1 but are most encouraged by Tuesday's trading update,' says Arbuthnot analyst Robert Sanders, who retains a 'buy' recommendation on the stock.
