Historically dates in the RNS are not accurate, unless they are in relation to placings

I know I said first gas but what i meant was Production.. my mistake as regards terminology ..
As you said, its not exploratory so its going to flow.
I was hoping for a small rise into first gas up to 1.50 and a spike on stable production to get us around the 2 mark..
Are the compressors big enough for one compressor to deliver much over 1.5m therms / month production consistantly?
I know there wont be any significant profit to angus until the side track is done but surely the company has to be worth now than it was 3 years ago..

The cheer leaders have promised us anywhere from 2p to 5p on first gas so we can take that as a given!
But would have thought we would be over the 1.5p this close to gas..
I can only surmise the market doesn't believe the proposed time line are are going to wait for conformation..
I really hope first gas is not priced in already and we need the side track for the re rate..

can you provide a link to what in particular you read re the hedge on the the website please.. be interested to read it..

In relation to your query re max production, the plant can process 10mmfscd which equates to approx 3m therms/mth.. i have assumed that is theoretical max and asked this board if there is an industry bench mark for utilization in gas processing industry .. Mirasol provided a figure of approx. 95% for gas.. and while you would expect it to be higher for a new plant, as there should be less unplanned maintenance, this plant will be under utilized by approx 50% until successful side track installed. 50% figure is based on GL expectation of 1.5m therms /month from existing wells, which could produce more reducing that %

My last post to BV got me thinking, I know 85% utilisation used to be considered the top bench mark for manufacturing facilities, it there an equivalent bench for oil & gas production?
I have assumed 10mmfscd is the theoretical max capacity, which will not be practically used over time given maintenance etc, so just wondering what is likely production assuming pressure is not an issue..

Also how is the gas price agreed with shell?

In relation to your query re more side tracks. I think it will depend on the success from the first side track and pressure in the field.. from my understanding of past RNS, the plant has max capacity of 10mmsfc/day so the existing wells & one successful sidetrack will max out the plant capacity. I am open to correction though..

You must be new to the angus board or have forgotten Gideons (& his previous & Multiple other ID's) presence on this board.. You will find it is the cheerleaders who practice cancel culture on this board and regularly offer insults instead of reasons debate..
Your reference to "Green Woke Types" was a popular retort of Gideons, who spent months here accusing the realists, who told him No Q1 gas and £7.2m /month was farcical, and in general anyone who wasn't fanatically positive of angus as being woke, green, Russian sponsored environmental activists. that vein of insult rather than debate or counter argument has grown legs ( & webbed feet recently) and the mantle has been taken up & continued by others in his absence.

you are following the lead of a fanatical moron, who has been banned numerous times form this board under many different ID's..
I am all for reasoned arguments, debated and opinions but the insults & cancel culture serve no one. And following the example of Gidoens, & his other Past & present multiple ID's, should make you question your etiquette here if nothing else..

GL might not do the manual work, but he should be doing the coordination and organization, he is ultimately responsible..
GL/Angus decided to go direct labour and act as main contractor , subcontracting out the various packages because it was the cheapest way , but this is where that approach cost people, you need to know what you are at.. if a competent main contractor was given the whole contract we would not be still waiting on gas and if we were GL would be on about Liquated damages and other penalties for the delay
GL is responsible and needs to find out reasons why completion is delayed and find a solution to keep on plan

I respectfully disagree re not being able to provide a firm date.
they should have a firm date for completion..
at this stage they should know that the welding, cabling or whatever else is taking longer than they anticipated to give the 1st June and should be able to recalibrate their programme of works, assuming they have a detailed breakdown of the works..
they should know how many yards of cable left to pull, connections to be made, welds & bolted connections to be done, pressure testing lengths of pipes.. it can be worked out.. and if delayed we should be told the reason why..
they really should, at this stage, have firm dates, a firm date for back flowing gas, a firm date for first gas.
Absolutely this will not be plug & play and there will be issues even though there are few moving parts, but you add a contingency.. the market wont be upset if they don't use all the contingency.. if they tell us the 24th and release an RNS on the 20th or 22nd to say gas flowing no one will be upset.. tell us the 17th and release the RNS on 20th or 22nd, the market will be upset.
Given the history of the company.. this needs to be the new PR strategy, truth & realistic statements not the 7.2million in June type statements.. they need credibility

first gas MAY be a game changer IF SUFFICIENT VOLUME FLOWS
once we get confirmation ON THE LONG DELAYED gas flows, Angs becomes a cash generator TURNING OVER CONSIDERABLE MONEY FOR ANGUS BUT NOT NECCESSARILY MAKING A PROFIT ON ANY OF IT CONSIDERING ITS DEBTS, EXPECTED PRODUCTIONS VOLUMES WITHOUT THE SIDE TRACK & VOLUMES HEDGED
IF THEY MANAGE TO DRILL & CONSTRUCT a successful sidetrack, IT will be transformational for Angs AS THIS WILL BE THE SOURCE OF THE MAJORITY OF ANY PROFIT.

after 3 long years, we will soon find out in a matter of WEEKS which direction we are going.
