P - hopefully lower than where the SP peaks before ex-divi !
I'm not a fan of holding for the divi,
prefer to take a profit and then look for another trade.
Makes life a little more interesting.
Came unstuck with PHNX though,
set my exit to high so had to hold and take the divi.
Waiting and hoping for a suitable SP rise and exit from that one soon.
Bought more at SP 2706 this afternoon to double my holding
as the SP had been continuing to tick up nicely in an ascending channel.
Ex-divi at the end of this month (Sept),
so hopefully SP will continue to rise to my exit sell price.
Always DYOR.
Thank you Australia!
I finally managed to call the RIO price movement correctly.
The last two attempts I've missed the peak by over-expecting on my auto exit sell and taken a tiny profit as a result.
My auto sell went through yesterday morning at 5499.
In at 5220 out at 5499.
I'm happy with that.
But where is the SP heading now?
Seems to have dropped out of the ascending channel,
possibly to fill a very small GAP at 5280-5283,
or is it heading back to the Fib 50 support at 4875.
Will be watching with interest.
Funds & profit went into BATS this morning for the run up to ex-divi.
Always DYOR.
Good news for BATS share holders,
but very bad news for the health of the nation!
"The number of 18-34 year-olds who smoke increased by 25 per cent in England during the first lockdown, according to a study conducted by the University of Sheffield and UCL published today (25 August 2021) in the journal Addiction."

Looks as though a big order (£8M) went through at 14.04 today after the SP had been walked down again.

Someone building a position?
My auto sell went through this morning at 298.
In at 290 out at 298.
A small profit,
but if the SP sits in a range whilst the buy-backs complete then we might as well make use of it.
The SP left a GAP yesterday morning (289-291).
Will consider another trade if the SP visits 290 again.
The oversold RSI looked like it had turned (increased from 28 -30)
and the SP drop appeared to have stabilised,
so bought in this morning at 5220.
Yield is currently over 6%.
Hoping to see some increase in volume and SP soon.
Always DYOR.
Low volumes at the moment,
once the big II's get back from chasing the sun will hopefully see SP tick up again.
Yield is currently over 7%.
RSI indicates currently oversold.
Take a look at the chart between 2015 - 2018.
SP has a history of trading nicely in the 600 - 700 range.
Holding and waiting for sanity to return.
Always DYOR.
Any thoughts on where this is heading?
The previous ex-divi drop (March 21) went down circa 24%.
Currently SP is down circa 20% from pre ex-divi.
24% would take it down to circa SP 4875,
which is also the Fib 50 support level of a Fib retrace from March 20 (low) to May 21 (high) on a 1 day TA chart.
RSI is currently 28, suggesting oversold, but it has dipped lower previously.
Always DYOR.
SP revisited 2650 again today.
With a yield of over 7% and Spring Mountain Investments Ltd having increased their holding (see RNS),
it's a very tempting trade target,
but still a little concerned from the TA that it might dip a slightly lower.
So still waiting!
