I THINK the delay is due to the board , changing the statement to take into account the election.

You would think DK would double down on a deal for IDS

As the no French deal should free up a lot of capital..

In addition a no French deal, you would think , DK would make more effort to buy, because as a billionaire, he can't be seen to be failing to close off deals, wouldn't be good for his name and reputation.....

What is the role of the board now, as they are minded to accept the bid

Will the board be doing the bidding on behalf of the DK

OR other way round , will the institutional shareholders, through the board be conveying the views to DK

OR will DK be talking directly to all institutional investors

If big institutional investor wants 4.10, another wants 4.20, another is happy with 3.90 example, does he get all the big shareholders in a room and hammer out a best price.

Or do the big institutional investors gang together , and pile the pressure on DK

The article was posted today, I wonder when it was written by DW... DW seems to be certain that MR K, will succeed... The way the share price has dipped today it seems Mr k will not succeed and the bid will fail....

If there is no take over of IDS , will we ever find out what the highest bid was by Mr k, Will there be a RNS Thursday or Friday morning to that effect...

Barclays has always suffered from negative sentiment, and also Investors feel , the board is not interested in the shareholders....

That's has changed with the Barclays review where shareholders are the main beneficiary

Also I think the US Inflation report is out tomorrow, hit figures will hit Barclays hard, soft inflation will help leap Barclays beyond £2.20
