Obsisian, I detect a great deal of envy/jealousy in your attacks on TW (and also in Eldric’s). And because you know that neither you nor anyone else can match his knowledge, his analytical prowess, his bravery and his determination to bring rogues to account, all you are left with is ad hominem barbs which never hit the mark.
Many have tried to close him down and they have all failed. You (and Eldric) should have learned from that but you just can’t stop whingeing about him, even though you diminish yourself in the process. What’s more, you (and Eldric) give him ammunition with your antics: I can only assume that you keep doing so because even an insult about you on his site acknowledges your existence. The great old comedian, Jimmy Edwards once said to a young Prince Charles at a polo match: “Stick close to me, your highness if you want to get your picture in the papers.” I suppose desperately hanging on to TW’s coat tails is as relevant as you can hope to be.
The irony of it is that the ball you are ignoring in order to play the man is the holy grail of investor wellbeing. TW, almost single-handedly, exposes the bad actors in the City, protecting the wealth of his readers. He also gives plenty of winning stock tips too but those are almost incidental to his passionate campaigning for boardroom honesty and accountability.
And while you (and Eldric) desperately throw damp squibs at him, he delivers what he and his readers want: justice and a levelling of the playing field – and his track record of doggedly bringing wrong ’uns to account is outstanding.
As for contrary opinions, he welcomes them. He publishes them. He has never censored his comments section nor banned anyone for posting contrary opinions or for being rude about him. But if anyone invents “facts” about him, he will respond robustly, as we all would.
I support him because we all need him, whether we admit it or not. I am not paid to support him and I have had several heated arguments with him over the years – none of which detracts from the fact that he is the only sheriff in town.
