You need to watch a video (or series of them) on YouTube by the late and very great Albert Bartlett titled "the most important video you'll ever see" - very pertinent for investors, since it is all about the exponential function, compound interest, and indeed includes oil as part of the lecture.

At "only" 7% per day it would take a mere 10 days to double the share price.

Then 10 days later it would double from there, ad infinitum, until in very short order, like the squares on a chess board you'd be looking at more money than has ever existed in all of human history.

7% is NOT to be sniffed at!

It's not that long ago it was 55p and we had no oil out the ground.

You'd think that since we're taking positive steps towards a money making oil producing company that 55p would not be beyond the realms of possibility.

In fact if it could be worth 55p then, it surely has to be worth more than that now.

Heading towards 50p - fingers crossed.

I imagine once the latest news gets reported far and wide the speculators will arrive and push it ever higher.

I didn't read it like that - it says this stage will be concluded with a 72 hour run from both wells, but they need to do the pigging etc first - so they aren't just going to turn on the taps this morning.

I think it might be 2 or 3 weeks before they're ready for the 72 hour run, and knowing Dr Trice (who let's face it is a super safe pair of hands), he won't risk taking any short cuts and will do everything by the book.

...just watch it go down today now, lol.

They seem to release most of them at 7am, so it's T-Minus 28 minutes and counting - hopefully!

I think it's going to be nigh on impossible to predict the share price over the next 12 months because I think that this will be a speculators (get rich quick brigades) dream, and the SP will I think end up going way above any sensible valuation.

It's not long ago that the SP was 55p before it dropped back to it's current levels, so with good news I hope it ends up back at or above 55p quite quickly.

But who knows in the crazy world of stocks and shares.

Looked like it was thinking about easing back a bit over past few days, but jumped up nicely near the end today.

Wonder what will happen if it can bust through the previous high and hit c.220?

I still think it would be undervalued at 250 personally.

Never mind cave paintings, ice core samples taken around the earth dating back millennia have been tested for carbon dioxide content, and it's clear the Earth has gone through significant periods of heating and cooling as a natural phenomenon.

The final results are announced in June, but last year the trading update was 11th April, which was the Weds in the 3rd week of April - which is tomoorow this time round, so...

I predict the trading update tomorrow.

Vulcan - re forward view.

The royalties from Kestrel jumped after 2015 when the mining finally entered Anglos territory. Now nearly all of the mining is in Anglos territory, and the new owners are aiming to increase production by 40% this year.

That suggests another record year for Anglo - the 3rd on the trot - if they can keep adding quality aquisitions as well, then they are really heading in the right direction.

I think it's good news for at least another 12 months, and probably 18 months plus just with the assets they have right now.

Hopefully after 2 consecutive years of record results, and no doubt a 3rd to come, this company is being taken seriously again.In the past with way lower revenues and profits it has been over 3 quid a share - I think it's just been out of favour and is finally regaining trust from the market.I seem to have a knack of picking these way before they recover - another I feel the same way about is severfield - it's great when they start to motor, just frustrating having to sit waiting for so long.Still, in the end the returns are way better than having the money in the bank, and you get the dividends along the way as a nice bonus too.Good luck holders and long may this rising share price continue.
