Good morning all,
This is more coverage of RSNA and GE Healthcare in particular. Nothing we haven’t read before, just confirms the attention of the big companies on AI.

Hello all.
I haven’t found anything regarding the company presentation on Sunday but I did find this article on AI at the conference:

Hello BB,
Thanks for that article, interesting reading. I found this from GE healthcare’s chief AI officer Parminder Bhatia. Here is the link:
https://www.gehealthcare.com/insights/article/connecting-the-dots-what%E2%80%99s-ahead-for-ai-in-healthcare
The last paragraph sums it up nicely.
“Digital technology has the potential to solve some of the biggest problems in healthcare today,” Bhatia says. “The goal is to help clinicians zero in on the right diagnosis and treatments faster. Done right, it could save lives.”
At some point the market will work out the potential here.
Cheers

Morning all, the clinical trial record has been updated.

Hello all
Found this article during a search- “mpMRI Mapping With IB Neuro Helps Characterize High-Grade Glioma’s Invasive Margins”.
Here is the link-
https://appliedradiology.com/Articles/mpmri-mapping-with-ib-neuro-helps-characterize-high-grade-glioma-s-invasive-margins
It is more coverage of the findings of the recent study published in Nature. This is a bit of background on Applied Radiology-
Applied Radiology is a physician-authored clinical review journal in publication since 1972. It is currently published 6x per year and distributed to over 25,000 radiology professionals by Anderson Publishing, Ltd. Through our online and digital platforms, Applied Radiology reaches over 50,000 radiology professionals worldwide.
Each issue of Applied Radiology contains practical information designed to educate radiology residents and today's practicing radiologists on a multitude of levels through clinical review articles, case studies, and timely columns covering all aspects of medical imaging.
Nice bit of coverage delivered to the right target audience.
Have a good weekend.
Shrek.
Thanks Max I saw that and it’s interesting and fits into their strategy.
Have you read the interview with head of AI?

Good afternoon
The clinical trial record has been updated on the 29th.
It looks like an addition of the phase 2 dose.
I am sure there is someone on here who is better at reading these records than me.

Good evening.
I was looking at search results for GE and AI and found the last paragraphs of this article interesting.
It’s a write up of the Korean Congress of Radiology earlier this month, here is the link:
https://www.koreabiomed.com/news/articleView.html?idxno=22145
“At the symposium, Ibraheem Elmogy, GE HealthCare's Medical Executive for the intercontinental region, and other leading experts spoke about the use of AI and digital technologies in radiology and the clinical safety of contrast agents.
"Several studies have shown that doctors are complaining of burnout due to excessive workload, while a survey showed that radiologists have to do more than 900 readings per month on average due to the explosion of imaging diagnostic tests," GE HealthCare Korea CEO Kim Eun-mi said. "As a leading provider of advanced medical imaging equipment such as CT and MRI, GE HealthCare is developing and introducing integrated platforms and various AI and digital technologies to address the needs of the field and develop solutions."

Thanks Trek
I like the answer you got from AI. I keep finding articles on AI, there was one on Reuters a few days ago about AI and pharma. This is an old report but GE healthcare imaging have it referenced:
GlobalData Healthcare. Digital transformation and emerging technology in the healthcare industry – 2022 edition. Pharmaceutical-technology.com. https://www.pharmaceutical-technology.com/comment/ai-investment-healthcare/
Anyway enjoying watching this progress, it’s nice to watch the sp climbing the stairs.

Hello all
Found this article during a search. Imagining Technology News is a new one on me, however this a bit of background:
Imaging Technology News (ITN) reaches more than 34,000 radiology, radiation oncology, women's health and nuclear medicine professionals. In addition to commanding the biggest share of market, ITN, with its detailed product comparison charts, is the resource buying team members use for specifying, recommending and authorizing technology purchases. Its award-winning editorial/design team has been honored most recently as a 2020 Jesse H. Neal Award Finalist for Best Technical Content.
Anyway that’s the background, here is the article:
Reduced Gadolinium Approach Validated with IB Neuro on 1.5T MR Scanners.
Reduced Gadolinium Approach Validated with IB Neuro on 1.5T MR ... https://www.itnonline.com/content/reduced-gadolinium-approach-validated-ib-neuro-15t-mr-scanners
Other posters have covered the content and I think it’s a positive that the findings are being covered in a specialist publication that should further spread the message amongst the right audience.
Have a great weekend

Evening all, good day today.
I found this audio of an interview with Jan Makela who is the president and ceo of GE healthcare imaging. It starts discussing Alzheimer’s but from 14:50 it’s about AI. The whole thing is worth a listen though but the five minutes on AI shows how important they see it.
This is from the site:
Shownotes
GE HealthCare started off 2023 by becoming a fully independent company. The company then wasted little time making acquisitions. Most recently, GE HealthCare was in the spotlight because of developments in Alzheimer's treatments that could potentially drive up the demand for the firm's imaging equipment.
Jan Makela, President and CEO, of Imaging at GE HealthCare, joins us to talk about the company's success and how it plans to finish out the year, in this exciting new episode.

Afternoon all,
Just read about GE and Mayo clinic entering a strategic collaboration to advance innovation in medical imaging and theranostics.
https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20230914745300/en/Mayo-Clinic-and-GE-HealthCare-Enter-Strategic-Collaboration-to-Advance-Innovation-in-Medical-Imaging-and-Theranostics
The first of the core aims got my attention-
“Building upon a long history of research collaborations between the two organizations, the alliance will deepen the collaborative efforts by focusing on four core areas:
- Rapidly accelerating the development and clinical translation of advanced Magnetic Resonance (MR) technologies and techniques, transforming patient care through artificial intelligence (AI) enabled exams from order to report”.
I found it interesting, cheers Shrek
