A very busy and inspiring week in China with Professor Jason Woods
from Cincinnati Children's Hospital, exploring the potential of
Polarean's Xenon MRI platform to advance lung health.
Hosted by our friends at Philips China, we visited several leading
pediatric and adult hospitals to discuss how functional lung imaging
could help clinicians detect chronic disease earlier, guide therapy for
chronic lung disease, guide surgical decisions for lung cancer
patients, and address the lasting impact of long pulmonary COVID.
We also attended the annual Chinese Magnetic Resonance
Academic Conference in Shanghai, hosted by Ruijin Hospital
Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University, School of Medicine, under
the leadership of Professor Fuhua Yan, MD, PhD, who heads the
annual meeting. Professor Woods delivered an invited lecture on
quantitative lung function with Xenon MRI.
Grateful for the warm hospitality of our hosts and energized by the
many passionate clinicians and researchers we met who are working
to shape the future of lung care.
