If the cpr is as good as they say it is, they will drill 100% it’s inevitable.. Tlw are just looking to farm down, and that’s their tactic to make that happen.. they never said they won’t drill, they said it was unlikely.. unlikely in the oil world can mean many things but it definitely doesn’t mean that they won’t drill and that’s final... like I said i am waiting for the cpr, to see what happens and if I’ll be adding more

Lol no, mine was at 44.8p @50k.. already fully loaded but obv want more. Will have to resist and wait for the cpr just to make sure we are heading in the right direction

If Tlw farm down and are left with say 10-15% I am expecting at least 3-4 wells drilled, as total and Qataris won’t wanna wait.. Exxon is going crazy next door and amassing some impressive numbers, while total and friends are sitting next door and waiting...

One year with no news won’t happen here... no need to worry about that.. we will drill this year, just won’t be under tlws operation-ship.. Namibia should come towards the summer as well, I’ve bought more today, will be waiting till the cpr to see if I wanna add more

Not surprised seeing that article.. technically it’s not a bad strategic move from Tlw.. you want to drill this year? Then come buy our share and do just that.. this is by far the most effective way to get total etc to jump in at the opportunity if they don’t want to miss out on the main headlines this year...

The first bounce from 43 already happened, looks like it will be bottom again for the time being... will be interesting if eco and total will update the market before the cpr regarding tlws stance..

After listening to the call I am even more convinced that tlw are telling it’s partners that they need to take initiative. They highlighted that the write off is an accounting maneuver and nothing to do with the importance of the results. The light oil is there and is proven, but they are low on cash and their hands are tied. So wait for the cpr which I am sure will be upgraded with 2-3 major drill locations, and let’s see how long it will take total to throw some money at the problem and speed up the process. The price is heading towards 43 just like last time. Cpr announcement will now be the key moment for us this year which will show if we will drill or not. Tlw have changed their approach to undersell overdeliver..

They haven’t stated that, it’s still up in the air. They didn’t say that they WILL not drill anything in Guyana. This is only the start of the negotiations, expecting a lot more to come

Exactly what I’ve been saying. They are literally screaming that they no longer want to be operators in Guyana. An opportunity like this won’t come often. If Exxon leave Tlw with 15% and buy the rest they will own one of the largest and best placed oil provinces in the modern history. Imagine having exposure in pretty much every license there

He is making sure we don’t lose money, he is being a Good Samaritan lol he obv knows that eco have 0 reserves, and our license is dry with no signs of oil what so ever.

That’s a good summary and I agree that the two heavy discoveries are not ideal. However I do believe Jethro will be commercial especially in the event if we strike light oil nearby. Until then I can’t attribute much value to Jethro. Regarding the no drills in 2020, it won’t happen, like you said all the parties involved will meet and total will make sure we will drill at least 2 wells. Like I already said this could be a good strategic move by Tlw to speed up the farm down process and push total and partners to increase their share and become the operator. Exxon also can’t be dismissed as it looks like they are going guns blazing in their 2020 with their campaign in Guyana

always wanted tlw to sell their share of our licence and now could be the best time to do it.. total, repsol, Exxon all will be looking.. may be even the Chinese, some exposure to such an oil rich province wouldn’t hurt... Phoebus I was thinking the same, sell on the cpr spike, and wait for the drills but now it’s way to risky.. if they do announce some major changes, wouldn’t wanna miss that

Maverick this could be an interesting move from tlw to invite total and partners to become the operator.. Exxon could easily buy tlws share in our licence. If the decision not to drill is final, I am expecting tlw to be bought out and that would be the best scenario for us. Namibia is a bonus this year so will be interesting to see what’s gonna happen there

No chance of that happening. Total will want to drill this year, they wouldn’t want to sit and watch Exxon explore and monetise such an oil rich province while they do nothing...

James I do think we can squeeze a well in there before summer and hopefully another two/three in the summer/autumn period. With so much new info I am expecting a drilling campaign with big juicy numbers

Basically just wait till March for a proper update on production and Africa.. as for Guyana end of jan seems most likely as they are still putting together the drilling plan
