Exactly that - AA's DD was concluding and out of gutters came the "claims" (if you can call them that), so rather than AA agree a warranty against that sort of disclosure, AA chanced their arm on a price chip on the original agreed heads of terms i would), knowing full well ARCM are unlikely to go anywhere else until the legal BS is out of the way.
The irony is that acquisition values and M&A activity / interest will only increase during the vacuum created.
Hold long, sit on hands, and use the filter - works for me.

Andrew4444,
I was at the presentation in London when the 25-30p was first mentioned by CB - however Ascot had not been discovered at that point, i suspect the maths may look somewhat different now...

Steve4077,
Interestingly the article points out that Colin's Kiwara company shares tripled in value within the year running up to the sale, and increased by 30% on the announcement. I wonder if Kiwara had announced earlier in the year they were in discussions with First Quantum ?
Obviously, the need for Copper wasn't quite the same back then (2009) and there certainly wasn't the major difference between supply and demand of Copper, and a super cycle.
My point is for those new investors it's an example of multi-bagging as the discovery turns into a real deal - personally i don't think it will be AA, my money would be on Newcrest or China Moly...

stevemocal - that's the badger - i remember that too...
Isn't Willem invested significantly in Xtract ?
Thought i watched a podcast where he mentioned us ??

My son works in the city and forwarded me information which casts doubts on the semiconductor supply improving any time soon. More importantly the data suggests that end users of metals (car manufacturers for example) will have to "partner" (whatever range of choices that means) with material suppliers, further up the supply chain...
Reminds me of Jetti resources in USA accelerating their growth plans by agreeing investment from the likes of Mitsubishi, Freeport-McMoRan, BHP Ventures, etc (see link below)...

My point here is that Jubilee is pulling a team together to take the message / processing capabilities global, and we know from CB at the presentation in London that approaches to Jubilee have been made (but not by the right organisations, his words) which implies there would be a "right" approach....
Whilst we wait for the update on production and developments, i for one can see an announcement coming from way out of left field which would take the SP through a rerate...
The mention of Jetti was only for referencing the partnering - i have no interest in them.

@Andrew4444
c25p would be consistent with what CB was talking about at the evening event in London.

The MM's fear Putin, who has too much to lose going in.
Game of chess to get USA serious at the table.
@Sq52
As a layman - It could be - looking at the scale 10Km red line on the presentation (pg6) i would put the White Springs about 2.5KM appx from the top of RC.
Though the current drilling would seem more east that the black circle indicates, see below...

So technically speaking it's in the area but as it's been named as a specific discovery then "Ascot" is what it is...
Easy to see on the presentation that there's more potential to this district than RC + Ascot...

@Cygnus7
You make a good point - cut & paste from Wikipedia...
"Because of their large volume, porphyry orebodies can be economic from copper concentrations as low as 0.15% copper and can have economic amounts of by-products such as molybdenum, silver, and gold. In some mines, those metals are the main product."
So it's not an unreasonable (ramping) point you make - would love Icebergs view on this topic...

@theiceberg
We appreciate your insight, technical knowledge, and views.
I think folks that wanted a "quick" conclusion here may need to wait a while longer because the potential of a "district" find is compelling to the team at Extract.
I did message some while back that i wondered if this was a connected system and even a very very large open pit....
OMG can you imagine the scale of it !!
ATB Shorn
@Xeiger you did hear right drillers back at it.
Delays from labs - just like last year, Xmas, Covid, holiday season (hearing the same story across many other BB's)...
What's going to be interesting as this plan pulls together over the next 3-5 months - the rumours of AA being given the data and CB's letter (decision to mine) - the SP is only going to go one way. Then either AA or "an-other" Major (Newcrest??) sign an EA while DD takes place - can't wait ;-)
ATB Shorn
theiceberg - thanks for the updated blog and lesson !!
What i believe from your blog that has objective relevance...
"Hole 33 is intriguing with its mineralisation at the bottom of the hole. Mineralisation doesn’t just appear, if its connected to Ascot, then it means that Ascot extends massively, 300-500m from the east of the intrusion. If not, then it would indicate a third porphyry, which is very possible...."
Which is a very exciting position for us all to be in...
Thing is - all this means more time in 2022 drilling and LTH's need to be patient while this occurs and all the while waiting for the much needed assays for phase 2. The presentation over the weekend was very interesting but not the same quality as the first video 3D model update. BUT the fundamentals have only improved (do not forget this...) - 2MT are clearly going to be in the rear view mirror but for the benefits to result in interest from majors it's going to take an updated jorc & time.
Personally i believe the timing of this maturing (XTR) exploration with respect to the market eventually taking off (in terms of the majors demand of metals for the green revolution, etc) are running in parallel.
Meaning i expect near term SP spikes with further data, but until the market (sentiment, liquidity & macro factors change) together with CB pulling the trigger on the decision to mine / AA option, we won't see 20-40p SP - IMO
Patience is a virtue.

SeisNav, Aprogerson, fulmar29, et al,
Thanks for the positive posting and a perspective on things that really matter.
Those other idiots are wasting their time, and frankly i wonder in what way they think they can influence the legal process, or sway the conviction of the LTH's...
