There tends to be more RNSs Monday than any other day so people don't want to miss out by not being 'in over the weekend'

Hundreds of millions of share bought at 1.5 can be sold at a profit from 1.51 upwards. You can buy at 1.5 and sell at 1.65 for a 10% profit in just a week or so. Until all those sell orders have been burned through we won't see significant rises.

I'm surprised this is over 1.55 at 1.8 those buying at 1.5 had a very nice quick profit

I don't think it's about breaking a specific number, it's about burning off all those who bought at 1.5 and are profit taking. Of course most have averages way higher, and when we are only left with them, the selling will dry up

Not at all, I said tomorrow "Could be interesting", a mere speculation that the buys and sells may have been different if the US market had been open. Alas, we'll see tomorrow, but my post was far from ramping.

Selling one stock to buy another is a very common thing, If you have US stocks you want to sell then you have to do so when the US market is open. Is the concept of buying and selling shares too complicated for you?

You haven't got a clue, it's really not uncommon for some stocks to have a sudden move just after 2:30 on occasion
