The £1/4 buy was a bold statement

Erm, a dead cat bounce isn't what you want if you just bought.

To look at this in a positive light, what I had yesterday was a holding in a company that was in decline and had serious finance issues. What I have today is the same number of shares, albeit at a lower price, in a respected holiday company brand that will have the funds to do whatever they want.
I'm in at 15p and will hold this for a year.

The company that mis-sold was Central Markets. If you have dealt with them, give it a go.

I know it sounds like I'm on commission, I'm not.

I was mis-sold CFD's about 8 years ago. The company no longer exists but I just got slightly shy of 11k back in compensation, in the bank, today!!!

I know it's difficult to sort the wheat from the chaff on compensation but I know a load of you have been dealing for years and may well have lost money. If the company you lost it with didn't sell it properly you might get it back So, if a deal from years ago is still niggling you that it was a bit wrong, find a company that specialises in mis-sold investments. It costs nothing. I wont even try to lead you towards one.
Sadly, I'm on the wagon for the rest of the month so can't even go for a beer.

If you ever dealt and lost money with a company called Central Markets (and others) who have been closed down you might be entitled to compensation from the FSCS.
I had a call last October that I thought was for PPI but listened and it was a specialist firm who chase mis-sold investment advice.
It's taken a while but today, I received notification of a 5 figure compensation payout due to me.

So glad I took the call.

If anyone is interested I can let you have the name of the company and they will check their list to see if you ever dealt with any bad boys and girls.

I agree that Ecuador has a right to a clean environment and should not allow foreign mining companies to come in and rape the country.
That's not what the cc decision is about. It's whether to allow a referendum on the subject.
This massive resource has been discovered. It will be mined.
The question for Ecuador is whether they want it mined in a sustainable way that adheres to any environmental legislation that the government want to impose
or
Whether the Ecuadorians want it mined illegally and in a way that the government have no say so that there is no environmental protection.

There are several good things on the horizon for TCG.
The poor weather will encourage people to start booking their holidays abroad in fear of getting washed out at home.
Selling the airline and the offer for the company are also likely catalysts for an increase in the sp.
It seems to me that it's just a question of getting in at the bottom to maximise your profit.
