Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
From the Troulli project update 26oct.
This is the first step.
Further trenching over the ROM Stockpile will be undertaken in the next 7 to 10 days with a view to achieving sufficient coverage to permit a Mineral Resource Estimation;
Hi Northam, I think it's a bit like copper 12 months ago, not much specific info been issued at all, however lots of excitement around this potential revenue stream.
Rns 5 Nov 20
The Tailings have been previously drilled and sampled to confirm both content and size containing on average 0.3% copper and 0.05% cobalt.
I wasn't sure if this related to the 270mt or the 115mt of tailings mentioned in that section.
From the note on 15 Sept 21 we know:
Project Elephant's TD52 portion has the highest copper and cobalt concentration of all tailings within Project Elephant and is specifically targeted by the accelerated development of Jubilee's cobalt extraction process.
I would be interested to know if anyone has an idea of how much the extraction process cost is per tonne for cobalt?
JLP due to issue full year results which may tie in this JV or a forward looking statement on timelines.
JLP JV is the key to this whole deal as processing the waste to revenue stockpiles will finance CMRS going forward. The JLP plant will also process the mined ROM.
My guess is the timing is allowing CB the limelight before announcing the main event.
Hi NS, I agree. I would expect an update on the 6m option agreement which expired on 4 Nov. The recent info on Troulli would suggest this site qualifies for a stand alone JV for waste to revenue, and it appears an MRE will be made available shortly.
Wrt bagging, the sp has already been as high as 32p+ so that should be a given, appears a good level to top up.
See what you mean Jonah, it mentions rainy season as mid-Nov to the end of Mar.
In the rainy season, the rains occur mainly in the form of downpours or thunderstorms. In Zambia, floods caused by heavy rains are quite normal. The wettest areas are the northern ones, namely, the North-Western Province, the Copperbelt Province, aind the Northern Province, where precipitation exceeds 1,000 millimeters (40 inches) per year, and in some areas, it can reach 1,400 mm (55 in).

Copper carnage - interesting article
I agree Jonah. CMRS statement:
Caerus remains firmly committed to its twin-track policy of recovering value from waste at its brownfield sites through future joint ventures with Jubilee while seeking mining opportunities that will yield primary ore for profitable processing in a market urgently seeking copper for multiple global Clean Energy initiatives.
As far as Jubs are concerned it's recovering value from waste and processing the ore from mining.
Leave the actual mining to others, (even if this is BZT!).
I am surprised with the lack of twitter feed from Jubs. My risk part of my portfolio is JLP, GGP, ECR and now CMRS. The other 3 are constantly giving newsflow. I realise that most of the time this info is issued as a comfort blanket to investors, but it is nice to be kept informed.
That said I am happily committed here with the info we already have.
RBC going positive on PGM prices stabilising.
Anglo American was boosted 1.61% by an upgrade to 'outperform' from 'sector perform' at RBC Capital Markets.
"With the shares having pulled back and platinum group metals prices stabilising, Anglo's diversified and growth-heavy portfolio of assets returns to our outperform list," RBC said.
Mikie, I believe some sort of update should be due from the in-house broker.
JLPp, do you think Jubilee will issue a quarterly ops update? When I contacted inv relations in Mar/Apr, I was told ops updates were 6monthly. Is it likely we will get more specific updates?
From 24 Aug. I wonder how long Paul Smith needs to have a 'fuller understanding '?
WH Ireland is presently keeping its forecasts under review, for the time being, until it has a fuller understanding of the final agreement. Nevertheless, the stockbroker believes it will be value-enhancing.
Smith described it as “a demonstration, once again, of how Jubilee can take unwanted assets (plants or tailings) and create a viable production, revenue and profit centre.”
“This is not the first time Jubilee has shown this level of sophisticated, low-capex, deal-making and we anticipate not the last.”
