I've written an article on understanding rights issues which will hopefully help.

The stock goes ex-rights at the close tomorrow. The share price will then gap down to factor in the rights, the same way a stock drops when it goes ex-dividend.

Note: If you are long with a spread bet or CFD account then do make sure your broker pays out the lapsed rights. They are yours and not theirs to keep.

Also, make sure if your rights lapse that you are paid the proceeds. They are yours.
