You really do have to ask yourself as to why this is not being chased higher? I would have expected that to be happening, but the share just isn't moving. This to my eye, suggests that the market thinks that this is as far the 'DT takeover story' will be going? This just does not have the 'feel' of another bid lurking in the offing; nor is it behaving as though another one will appear. 'If' there is another predator out there that is hungry for DT, then it will need to pounce quickly & aggressively, or TB will be left to drag their kill away, unchallenged. Everything, it seems to me at least, is pointing to the latter scenario playing out. I should point out, that I'm about, but not exactly, 69.27% certain of this.

Thanks in no small part to you, with your incessant fantasy-land numbers, (it really got me thinking about how wise it was to remain invested any longer here) and luckily for me, I got out!! So a big thank you for that! I'm sorry that it didn't reach your dizzy heights of £12+++ but TB will get this company growing even faster, but with much larger profits, with its huge financial (and geographic) reach and commercial muscle. It's a great fit for DT and it's very easy to see why it will be voted for "unanimously"; these types of decisions, by Boards of Directors are not made, based simply on the money offered. It's much more nuanced than that. Anyway, there are plenty of excellent UK growth companies to invest your final cash in than Darktrace, so get researching!! . . . ATB 🫡

Clank - no it will have no impact, as the offer has now been made. I very much doubt anyone else will step in either; like highly unlikely. So, £6.20 (give or take depending on the US v GBP exchange rate) is what you will receive when the contracts are finalised. ATB

Litoum - were I invested here myself (I sold in 2023), then I too would probably hold on. Effectively c.£6 is now 'underwritten' by TB and another party 'might' yet come in. I don't personally think anyone else will get involved, but you can't really lose by holding, as you know that you will receive $7.70 (or c.£6). The exchange rate however, is very much worth keeping an eye on; especially for those with large holdings here. All the best to you and others, with the same conundrum to mull over here . . .🫡

Not so very long ago, having rebuffed TB the first time, Poppy was saying"no, no, no, the London Stock Exchange and London is 100% the place for us". Now a complete 360 change of view! TB will be delighted (cash offers do have their perks for the acquirers!) shareholders in the main, will not be so happy. Pretty much the only PI winners here were those that sold very early on, when it spiked and those that bought in the last six months. Most others? A waste of time being invested here; as you could have made way more money elsewhere, over that same time period. DT has been a big disappointment let's face it, given the price that it floated at and now, where it has ended (c.£6, but depending on what happens with the exchange rate, maybe not even that much). This share just never got going . . .a dark day for Darktrace shareholders. 🤑

Disagree buster123 - Given the original flotation price and the constant negative press coverage that this company has endured; the big Funds and Pension companies will definitely vote "yes". They will take their millions and move on. 100% TB will win here

Sadly PI's never make a difference. The II's rule the roost along with the BoD. It's done and the BoD are clearly very happy with it, as "unanimous" is strong language to use. No other bid was lodged last time around, so there won't be another one this time either. As HKK rightly says, 'scenario 3' is virtually nailed on and TB will get DT. The End

Looks very much like that was just a final 'dead-cat bounce' last week. The market has accepted Superdrys' fate it seems and JD is going to take this private for small change. Anyone interested, would have thrown their hat in the ring by now. So that won't happen. It is truly amazing how often people get away with it like this. A clearly well orchestrated and well executed strategy, by JD and his advisers; give it time, let it strangle itself, then re-buy it for a fraction. All 100% legal too! Creditors and shareholders get screwed and JD walks away smelling of roses!! Nice work if you can get it. . .

MattTheBrave- yes, life is never 100% cut and dried. But, this is 95% nailed on. TB will swallow DT up.

Binding terms will have been signed already, subject to Board Approval. In the RNS it says very clearly, that the BoD will be voting "unanimously" in favour of the offer - so it is done. Not great for PI's I admit, but teaming up with TB is a VERY good thing for Darktrace as a company. TB has massive global reach and very deep pockets. DT will grow FAR faster with them, than on their own, as a UK listed PLC. Make no mistake, it's over. TB have it in the bag.

Kick - funnily enough I have finally just sold RR at £4.06p. It really has made me a life-changing amount of money, as I went in big-time with it. Pure fluke to be honest as I could never have imagined how fast it would rise. But had I stayed here I would have made FAR less. Just a bit of very good fortune for once! Good luck to you. . . . ATB

Wow this ends a truly miserable time on the London Stock Exchange for Darktrace Plc. It has just been one thing after another. A lot of people have lost out on this one; and when you think that just over three years ago, folk were paying north of £9! Ouch. Not a very happy ending for many here, but it's a very good offer given it's current turnover (and pretty meagre profits). This will certainly be finalised and the BoD will be voting "unanimously" for it; done deal!

£6.20p per share is not quite the fairy tale ending that the dreamers were massively ramping here!
