Hochschild Mining currently sits in the 250th spot with a Market Cap of 957m. So, CBG would need to hit c.£6.40p (rounded up). This would result in a Market Cap of £963.1m. So, assuming that Hochschild Minings' MK does not also increase at the same time, then that valuation would result in a return to the FTSE250.

Currently (as at February 2025) CBG is ranked 337th in the pecking order.

Scooter - firstly, well done for averaging down to almost break-even!

secondly - only you can know, but if it were me, then I'd either sell 50% and retain the rest - or keep the entire holding (more likely in my case!). Really it depends on a) your need for the cash b) your approach/tolerance to risk.

NU - hence my fear of a hugely diluting cash raise. Best to expect something nasty here I reckon, as I simply cannot see us all walking away with a happy smooth return from suspension and on-wards to a heady 30p/40p share price. Just way too dreamy to be feasible. Something just ain't right about this Company and it's continued reticence here.

Sadly you are correct NU. If they 'did' offer anything, then it would be a very low single figure. It's not an outcome that anyone here will profit from that's 100% for certain.

However, for now at least, it is still 'just about' a listed Company. Something is 'brewing' here - and I'm not personally thinking that it's a pleasant cup of tea.

Either way, PI's would be offered an absolute pittance, just as happened with Superdry. They received about 6p per share! All shareholders got roasted!

If they want it to happen it will happen affrm. SDRY went private and EVERYONE got shafted including the major Institutions. It is plain wrong to suggest otherwise. Sorry.

Hope I'm wrong Patience, but I have seen it many times and the 'reduced dividend' tends to be the classic fall-back position. As I say, it makes very good business sense, to shore-up the Balance Sheet, with the medium term in focus. Short term, it's not great for shareholders looking for the passive dividend income, I grant you. But longer term, it WILL pay 'dividends'!

Froggy- you've missed absolutely nothing! Just the usual delusional few here, spouting ridiculous 'come-back' numbers! More likely to be 3p once we have been diluted - 'if' we ever come back from the graveyard that is! 😜

Patience - I didn't say that they won't start paying dividends again. What I was saying, is that they won't be at previous levels. It just stands to reason. They need to re-build, having sold a major asset, to pay for this fiasco. CBg's 'Balance Sheet' will be first in line and then their shareholders. Again, that makes very good business sense; with the medium/longer term in mind. In my opinion! you just have to accept that previous dividends will take quite a while to get back to, following this absolute joke of a motor finance fiasco. But hey, it is here and it WILL cost CBG. How much will the final £'s Bill be? Who knows!

Just to be clear, I am not interested in dividends with any of my shares; only capital growth. I paid £1.12p for my RR and still have them. That's a big capital gain. With regard to CBG (which I paid £2.12 for) you won't see those kind of 'pre motor finance crisis' dividends coming back, for a very long time. They will severely restrict outgoing cash, in order to build up their balance sheet again. Dividends as and when they come back, will be far less. That's probably about right too.

Seems very much like wishful thinking, now that we find ourselves where we are. This lot can't even prepare as a set of Accounts or arrange an AGM. There is virtually zero chance now of PPP doing any of the above (oil) in my opinion.
