From the Daily Mail Feb 19th23 Feb 2017 07:56
"British cycling Olympian and Tour de France star Mark Cavendish, has invested hundreds of thousands of pounds in fast-growing food manufacturer Science in Sport as the company plans a sales drive into Europe. Cavendish, who will also launch a new product range for the group this year, joins fellow cycling star Chris Hoy who is an investor in the Lancashire based group, as well as The Mail on Sunday’s Midas column which tipped the shares as a buy in 2014. Stephen Moon, chief executive of Science in Sport, said Cavendish had made ‘a sizeable six figure investment’ in the company. Full results are due next month, but the Lancashire-based group has announced that sale rose 30 per cent in 2016 to £12.2 million". So, that's the article decide for yourself but it sounds like a physical investment to me worth "hundreds of thousands" rather than an award for services rendered!!?
