Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
At least he didn't dump them !! However, tomorrow is another day :-(
Yes, it's a good read, and being independent, lends some weight to what we have assumed, what we know and what we hope for the future.
Every day, news programmes, newspapers & social media is stuffed full of renewable energy paraphernalia, and it really isn't going away. To be at the forefront of the push towards a cleaner, greener planet is smart and kinda gives me a nice warm fuzzy feeling. To be invested in a company who can also take advantage off that and potentially be global leaders with a graphene based product, is even better !
GLA
spoke too soon....
GLA today
at 08:36 & 08:37 missing from the recent trades listing here on LSE !! Small at just less than 10,000, but buys all the same.
The panels are currently being sold at a premium to the broker note indicated price, something around €1.3/w, so the GP may be on the conservative side IMO. I would think that larger orders will sell closer to the WHI price though.
Those figures work for 2 machines in the production line for 7 hours per shift. Cool beans, sounds great. Let's get the orders rolling in to stretch the capacity....
Interesting that they have been given a figure of 420W/panel. I wonder if the output has been upgraded or the panels are being made bigger, given that there are essentially no size restrictions for shore based off-grid installations ? Especially in Australia. It's all GAFA out there !
eddie666.......... I'm long, a fan of the company, a regular re-tweeter and have a large holding, but what's your estimate of 14-16p pre more positive news based on ? Cheers.
from the Paragraf/Verditek partnership........ Looks great.
https://twitter.com/Verditek_PLC/status/1311953125268492289
For those not on Twitter..... its says "Verditek has partnered with an outstanding leader in graphene technology, Paragraf, and have created the worlds' first Graphene Integrated Photo Voltaic cell. We are working together to engineer the technology for commercialization." And a pretty picture of a number of PV cells
took his 250,000 options and disposed of them as common shares: 140,000 on 23rd, 60,000 on 25th and 50,000 on 28th. All 250k options sold :-)
half year report. Lots of cash remaining, low ongoing Capex, progress on Dundas and the best bit "We will update the market by 31 October 2020 on these discussions and continue to engage with a number of other leading industry players with a view to securing ADDITIONAL commercial offtake agreements."
Sounds like it's a done deal for the first 250-300tkpa.
GLA
I believe that it's remuneration, rather than re-numeration.
GLA
used to say........ "This does not compute" All buys so far at 132.3p ish.
nlondon1234..... ????????
The reason I am invested:
1. They have announced orders for something around €4M since June, that we know of. That equates to over €1M/month.
2. These orders have been driven by Rob Richards, who is an experienced O&G professional, with a history of increasing and improving sales in a number of companies as a sales director, a COO and a CEO. He not only brings experience, but industry contacts.
3. He understands the industry having also been an electrical engineer.
4. The time is ripe for a shift from fuel driven power generation to solar driven PG, to meet both national and global targets for clean energy generation. The Australian government is also offering 50% rebates to companies re-powering with green energy sources.
5. The potential sales for their "standard" panels is large at the moment, given the trials that are ongoing.
6. The JP with Paragraf represents a massive potential breakthrough in increasing the efficiency of panels and how they are able to be used where others aren't.
7. Shorters are currently targeting the company, in my view to get in cheaper. I don't believe that there is actually any valid reason now that past management have departed, having not quite got it right and previously communicated poorly. TW seemed to insinuate that the problems were continuing, which I understand to be incorrect. The shares will have to be bought back at some point.
8. I like the renewable energy sector on a personal level.
Of course everyone has to make their own decision. At the end of the day, it's your money you're protecting.
Good luck all.......
Not massive, but great nonetheless. What it does go to prove is that the market is there in sunny Australia and that the scope to expand the business in the mining sector is very promising. There are an AWFUL lot of mines already built and producing and an AWFUL lot more being built, due to the very strong demand for PM's. The sector is enormous here, with dozens of sector announcements every day regarding new drilling and resource finds. Even though fuel is comparatively cheap in Australia (retail diesel is currently $1.18/litre in WA - 65p), the motivation to change to solar and incorporate it into a hybrid system is present. In other areas of the world, where fuel is more expensive than here, the motivation must be greater. There are literally hundreds of mines in WA alone, and although this one is in QLD, the potential to power a number of them to provide a material return gives me a warm feeling inside.
I'm sure that this will be the start of a successful forage into the Australian oil, gas & mining sector and we will all reap the rewards of the excellent product that VDTK have.
Good work Verditek team & RR. From small acorns, large oaks grow etc etc.

I believe that it means that there will be no new material presented during the webinar which isn't already in the public domain, regardless of whether anything new is RNS'd between now and then.

It's been a rather bizarre day to be honest..... Off to bed for me. All that excitement is just too much for an old fella like me !!
GLA tomorrow
It's an interesting theory........ A double edged sword perhaps. It could be good either way. I guess time will tell.
GLA
It appears that this has been one massive manipulation. All of the large delayed trades, and pretty much EVERY trade since 10am, has been blue. There is word that the short positions have reduced from 18% yesterday to 9% at lunchtime today. Anyone got another theory ?
