Please tell me that your holding your investments in a Trading ISA, and if you are retired you should be using funds to generate income and not shares
Well said, this share has turned in to a bleached out lump of dog faeces over the last couple of years. I am also 98% down on my original investment which whilst not large is significant to cause me pain whenever I look at the festering sore that it has become in my portfolio... This news is frankly pathetic. Louis, so what if your quite pleased, give us some facts, and not empty promises of a river of gold.
Also may be a long shot, but has anyone considered if it's worth raising a complaint to the FSA? https://www.lseg.com/sites/default/files/content/documents/Corporate_Governance.pdf
I do wonder if there is a case to answer on the basis that corporate governance is not being effectively followed, and as this document states - "The purpose of corporate governance is to ensure the company is run in the long-term interests of the shareholders. I don't particularly feel that decisions made at board level in KIBO are being made in shareholders interests....
Aware that my holding of 500k shares is just a drop in the ocean, but what qualifies (share volume etc) for a vote on LCs future. I would dearly love to give him the opportunity to go filch a living elsewhere.
Whilst I recognise that it's getting near Christmas and a few drinks have been had, and the lockdown is getting to everyone, but can we please drop the sniping that is akin to some sort of religious fervour..... People are entitled to their opinions, that's the nature of a discussion board, but lets stop shooting people down for asking what are quite reasonable questions in relation to one company versus another. This share is not without risk, it's operating in a potentially huge marketplace, where in all likelihood the company with the most backing will win out. The Sales figures are due in the near future, and this will either stimulate further excitement, or it may well dampen down the enthusiasm (a little or a lot). Make your decisions based on facts and figures, and please DYOR as I don't know any of the posters on here from Adam (and I know you could say the same for me). To be totally transparent I have 40,000 shares and an average of 36p, that's all I am willing to invest in this company, as that is what I feel is a reasonable level of exposure. I would be delighted if the share continued to grow, but I also expect there to be some bumps along the road, as the sort of rapid growth some on this board are predicting requires a significant ramp up of production, and logistics. The board need to provide evidence that they can support that, along with a sustained growth in sales.
Jax05, my sympathies, I only have 500k of Kibo, but this is a weeping sore right in the middle of my share portfolio.... Frustrated as I flipped a number of shares that have gone on to be very profitable to invest here... Progress would be good, any sort of general update would be awesome, rather than being strung along endlessly....
I see some mention of top slicing at a £1. Always an interesting quandary, I recently top sliced on SLP When it achieved 300% growth, only to watch it move up to well over 600% return, which is annoying, however I had set a target in terms of what I wanted to make as a profit, so everything I am left with it bunce. They key thing with investing is to have a target for all of your investments, understand how much you want to make, and more importantly understand how much you can afford to lose. It's always a balance between creating profit, and reducing exposure, but if you define these limits, you won't go far wrong. It's all very well looking back at what you could have earnt on a share, but sometimes taking your target profit, and moving on is just as rewarding. To quote Oasis, "Don't look back in anger".....
If you want to have sniping and juvenile conversations, and not contribute anything meaningful to this board, can I suggest Whatsapp, and Facebook might be more your thing..... I am interested in factual contribution and opinion. It's bad enough that the board seems to run on a ZX spectrum, without having to deal with the constant classroom backbiting and *BS* as well.
RKBeeKeeper - Great set of stats, that is exactly the controlled sort of growth you want to see, aligned with an expansion of sales outlets. The various outlets wouldn't be taking the product if they didn't see a market and a profit margin for themselves, it's not like these are small entities, they will have done their research, and concluded that Chill is a brand they want to stock. Fundamentally they have done their research, and will grow the market for ZOETIC. Not generally a glass half full type of investor, but I am genuinely excited about this share, and as a long term holder who remembers the darker days of HNR, I am frankly slightly amazed.
661% profit, still can't believe I top sliced and reduced the number of shares I owned.. Still think this is a strong buy, based on market opinion. Don't put the house on it, but anyone with a bit of spare cash should be taking a look.
Wrong board.... doh!
Thanks for your constructive feedback, you're absolutely entitled to your opinion, but in comparison with other Insurance companies, this is a Dog of a share. The company has been badly run, the management has been inconsistent and ever changing, without a clear strategy for some time. So no idiocy, just fact, not fantasy.
I believe that this runs on an old VMS OS with a front end web wrapper. Going to take some serious Dollar to get this bad boy migrated to the Cloud. Better to re-design and not lift and shift. But your point is well made. Actually an ideal candidate for containerisation, which would delivery the agility and scalability they need.
I left quite a bit in there, and who knew, a vaccine, and RR went up 60%, nice work....
The RR v Zoetic post made me go look at RR shares earlier, and I dipped in and out for a quick profit, might have been a bit of a naive comment , but it made me my car tax for the year. Nice one! :)
Positive news based on the feedback from Rugby, it looks like they are conscious of controlling the challenges of rapid growth and building solid foundations, and a good legal position in terms of sales and distribution. That is definitely indicative of a well thought through strategy, so again very positive. Can't see any major negatives here at the moment, holding with my current volume of shares, which have the potential to be a big ISA winner, may top up a little if I can find a few pennies down the back of the sofa at some point, but generally remaining with a broad spread to mitigate risk. DYOR but certainly seems worth an investment at the current price.
The investor AGM is going to be interesting, certainly something to keep a very close eye on in 15 days time. First time I have actually been excited about an AGM for a long, long time, mind you that could have something to do with the AIM dogs I have invested in. I did think HNR was another one, but hats off to the management team for transforming the business and moving it forwards to this stage. If I had a concern it would be how they intend to grow the business, and if they have the experience to retain the level of promised product quality whilst at the same time ramping up production, and associated sales. It's a difficult transition from something relatively small scale to a business that is supplying hundreds of sales outlets, and online sales. That might be a good question for the AGM to be honest..
Similarly, have held my shared a looooong time, not letting them go, as want Pounds, and not Pence for my return. Some small additions in the last few days, and bought a few last week for my kids ISAs off the back of SLP top slicing there.... Look forwards to the RNS....
blacksheep - Talk to your broker admin, you should have received a load of ZOETIC shares on a pretty much 1 to 1 basis, so maybe good news......
Yup, sounds a little like my pot, 40k shares.. I don't see the heady £15 - £20 predictions, but I can see a £1.00 - £1.50 in the near term.......
