Already seeing it happening in my company (FTSE 100), and several other colleagues with senior management positions similar to mine have indicated that they see the trend growing further. None of them will actively make people redundant, but they will simply pause hiring in the UK, and start to build out teams in India, the Philippines, and potentially Vietnam. This combined with automation is likely to cause high unemployment, so if you have kids, get them to qualify as plumbers, brickies, tilers and bathroom fitters.. This is going to be a tipping point, and when combined with a mass exodus of cash belonging to those who are globally mobile I can see a lot of investment in the Middle East coming..
