In hindsight i suppose it was to be expected that with the scarcity of shares available the drip may was going to be purchased at a higher price than hoped for. Sods law..
Congratulations on the marathon. I'm sure there was quite a chilly headwind at times ! FTO certainly found its legs today but has dropped back a tad. Not a bad thing until the drip gets sorted. Who would have thought that opting for the drip would give a higher average than expected...
The rise is due to the drip .... the dividend reinvestment plan. Like me millions have elected to have their dividend reinvested in shares as opposed to cash. There is a shortage of shares hence the upward pressure on the sp. There was a £47 million special divi and perhaps a third to half maybe taken as shares.. My divi is sitting in my account waiting to buy shares, so this is an ongoing process...
WSX is an oilie. it was offered 10p and turned it down? It is in the last phase of a 5 hole drill with various partners but there have been 3 previous dusters... and the field maybe shut due to non commercial status.... It is a real punt. I got them free in a special divi payout from QRM in its previous guise. Although still here I have all but written of QRM.. . You will note that if WSx rises so does Qrm due to its shareholding but when Wsx falls so does Qrm. Better cutting out the middle man and going straight to WSx for a punt if you fancy it.. The only other investment i can find is plant healthcare which is down somewhat....On the other hand if Wsx's last hole is successful and commercial we will see considerable upside. A lot of other better possibilities out there. g.l. all
I would have expected the dividends to have gone to through this morning. The drip shares should not have a bearing on the 2.36p per share dividend. That is cash ! That will not change . The only changeable factor is how much we drip receivers pay for the shares....and how long it takes to get them.
Had a lie in this morning... just checked my Halifax share account and same as you guys nowt has appeared yet. Obviously the drip in this quantity has made this more complicated.
On the 16 April 2013 the directors of Quoram announced the acquisition of 844,400 shares in Plant Healthcare at a price of 78p, for a total consideration of £658,632. The shares are now worth 62p ! Great start..
