BTW I've actually invested in an Exchange Traded Commodity. I thought it was an ETF but it isn't - WisdomTree Physical Swiss Gold. It's backed by physical gold held by JPMorgan Chase Bank.

I invested in a Swiss physical gold ETF about a year ago via my SIPP and it's up 40% now. Just wondering if people would advise selling and crystalising the gain, or should I hold? Any thoughts?

Totally agree fogthemogg. I've got Aviva as my defensive stock atm. Doesn't trade in a wide range, probably under valued and has a 7% dividend. Did have Vodafone but when they halved their dividend it put me off so I sold at a 15% profit.

It's ridiculous that Fres only publishes interim financials and then final results. We shouldn't have to wait until April for the next financial report. They need to produce quarterly results ASAP. This is just one mine so hopefully it won't have a great impact on profit.

Don't worry. The LSE would never let a stock fall 99% in a day. Trading would be suspended long before that happened!

NVIDIA started at 4c and is now $140. I'm hoping GSCU goes the same way! Would love to sell at £143 after buying in at 1.43p 🙄

I shall be holding out for at least £10 (break even is £5.47). Most retailer investors sell too early. I did with Glencore. Sold in 2015 for 90p (my break even point). I won't make the same mistake again!

I actually think he bought £5k of Nvidia shares about 10 years ago at 50c. So he'd have about £1.3m now, not the £50k he sold them for!

I'm up 20% now. Wondering if I should sell as it has failed to get above this a few times this year. But in the back of my mind is someone I know who bought £5,000 worth of Nvidia shares in the late 90s. He sold them when they hit £50k and used it for a house deposit. He'd have over £1m now!!!

I think the US interest rate cut by 50bbp is a big turning point. This has weakened the US $ which should mean imports into Mexico are cheaper and commodity prices are cheaper in Mexico. This should reduce Mexican inflation easing cost pressures. Plus any US rate cuts leads to money moving to developing countries because investors now get a lower return from just putting their money in US bank accounts.

636p seems to be the resistance level now. That was the high yesterday and is the high this morning. Once it breaks out of that resistance level it'll fly!

Someone / something is playing this like a fiddle. Up to 650 ish, then down to 550 ish, then up to 650 ish. A part of me wants to sell when it gets back to 650 ish but I know with my luck it'll shoot up and up and never see 550 ish again!

How have you managed an £8 break even here??!! It's was £4.35 in March! When I invest I buy little and often so I ride out the volatility. That's why despite holding this stock for about 2 years now my break even is £5.43.

I agree with Don to a certain extent. What has caused investors to sour on this is the costs side of the ledger. Specifically exchange rate and labour costs. He seems to only focus on revenue.

Very low volumes. Good buying opportunity. I would if I wasn't already overweight.
