Dbw, agreed, I would love to know what SOLG's employees are actually working on now and over the last few weeks. The 800-odd local workforce aside, what are Loyer, Vaca, Garwin and to a lesser extent Botts and Taunton working on on a day-to-day basis. I'm assuming that as per the July 28th RNS they're looking at Porvenir and Helupuerto, establishing which targets the company will be drilling when we start exploration again. But I would imagine that the team are somewhat demotivated given we presently have no cash in the coffers to do any of said drilling, and employees (like investors!) are unclear on the corporate strategy.
It would be helpful for investors to be given some rough timelines as to when the above work is expected to be completed, and ultimately when drilling will start (the July RNS was pretty detail-lite).
I'm hoping that Keith Pollocks, our interim-CFO (the third person to hold this position in the space of 6 months) is working on a funding package to take the pressure off the company and the management team as we run into the AGM. Unless rumours of a takeover really start to hot up, I struggle to see the SP moving northwards, particularly given the current macro environment.
The other possibility, which I appreciate has been mooted for a long time with nothing to show for it, is that we are indeed working on several of the areas where we are yet to explore and are looking for potential JV partners. It wouldn't surprise me to see news on this announced prior to the AGM. The BoD really do need some wins to be able to point to before Christmas.
