I’m not too sure. I doubt they’d be able to buy it back to be honest. Let’s not forget, we’ve had former labour politicians back the bid, so I think it is safe to assume that some current labour politicians may feel the same. That being the case, if they had a “good” meeting, it could be a thing where they’ve discussed the bid but lined it up to ensure it works in the best interest of all those involved.
Realistically, CWU shouldn’t back this bid at all, but because it’s DW things may be different. I’m seeing union members on social platforms disagree with his approach on a lot of things, saying he’s “out of touch” with union members. If that’s the case, a meeting that works in the best interest of all parties may mean a meeting that leans more favourably towards DW instead of the CWU, which will then turn out well for the labour party and DK’s bid.
Right now, I’m just thinking out loud so it’s all waffle. Only time will tell and there’s a few hours left until DK’s deadline
