Seingred I'm not denying that a start up Crypto can't make a fold or 2 but if they are emerging then it's also highly risky. I'm specifically on about Bitcoin which will not be making folds anytime soon. I may not know anything of the Crypto market but if you think bitcoin is going to make future folds before OMI then you need your bumps felt but your presence here would indicate that you already know that.

It's time to stop prattling on about your Cryptos and as good as they have done we both know there are no more folds left in Bitcoin yet we know there is in OMI.

Thanks for pointing out that OMI has dropped for a few years as that one had passed us by. All that is now irrelevant as it's on the verge of going the other way and if you think that qualifies as a mere punt then be prepared to be surprised when it starts to fly and the folds begin.

I may amuse you Seingred but you know the folds coming in OMI are not anywhere near going to be replicated in Cryptos and that's why you are here. The fact that you spend the majority of your posting time here following little OMI is another indicator that you know the folds are coming soon. Nice to see that the negatives you throw in are crap really and certainly not real enough to prevent you from continuing to invest because you know this is coming good anytime soon. Perhaps you will stand to make a fair bit here if you ever have the courage to invest more than just pocket money but each to their own

Behave Seingred. All this negativity is a charade. You know the Cryptos cannot match the folds that are coming here and that's why you are hanging around. If you genuinely believed your own negativity then you would not be wasting your time following OMI. The cryptos have had their day and now it's our turn.

Rob I don't need to pay homage to Seingred or bitcoin. Anyone that has done well with other stocks then good luck to them but we are about to start our own journey where we will see multiples from here and that's not going to happen with Bitcoin short-term moving forward. That's why the likes of Seingred are hanging around here in the first place as they can clearly see the potential to make a few folds despite any concerns they have voiced here. It's never good to be on hold but it's only a matter of time before things begin to move here and I'm sure things will move at a pace enough to satisfy even the most disgruntled of investors

Seingred it's all very well smugly sitting on coins that have gone up astronomically but there is nothing that has generated this increase and it's not backed up by anything. You are correct in that I know nothing about Crypto except that we would see how robust this was if all investors started to cash in and you know that the whole thing would fall apart instantly as it's not aligned to anything of value. Like I said it's a Ponzi scheme and until it's underpinned by something it will always be vulnerable. Regarding that I also know nothing of OMI then I would say that I've done as much research as possible, weighed up the risks versus rewards on offer here and made the investment which I still believe will come good before very long. If that makes me clueless then so be it but there is certainly more upside to come here than Bitcoin for sure.

Rob nobody hates Crypto more than me. Partly because I missed out and partly because there is nothing to presently back it up however it is amazing that such a system has not collapsed and even more incredible how it has risen. I appreciate this is the OMI board but during this impasse I don't mind the odd mention of sectors or shares that are doing well. My interest here is when the present fiat system fails and is replaced by a more physical gold and silver based system then looking at the effect this might have on Crypto.

Yes Seingred the fiat scheme is a Ponzi and is predicted to collapse. The BRICS nations are well aware of this and are not only buying all the physical gold and silver but are also encouraging their people to do it as well. If this does happen then you can see why some future predictions for gold land silver look astronominal and bitcoin has shown that these predicted rises are not fictional and can happen very quickly.

Rob it's not UK interest rate cuts that have a big influence on Gold prices but those in the USA. When the U S federal reserve make cuts then you normally see the effect pretty quickly. This is because Gold is traded in US dollars.

Seingred I'm not denying how much it's made for investors. I was told of this early 2011 when a friend invested heavily. I don't know how much he put in but had made a bout 1000 percent by the end of 2011 alone. As I've said it's all virtual and generates nothing and is more or less stored computer code. It is a Ponzi scheme albeit a clever one and I can guarantee that if everyone cashed in their so called fortune tomorrow then in no way would all the money owed to investors be realised as it's not backed up with anything tangible and the whole scheme would crash leaving many with nothing. Saying all that many experts also say that if all the investors took their gold out of the reserve then most of them would not receive it due to them overestimating what they hold such is the fickle nature of our present banking system. There is definitely a change coming with the European FIAT financial model predicted to collapse based on the lack of trust on governments authority and be replaced by a more stable system based on a physical commodity like gold or silver. The BRICS countries such as Russia China and India etc are buying up the world's physical gold and silver at an alarming rate which is one of the main drivers for the recent record prices and future predictions of huge increases that are coming.

What effect this will have on the likes of bitcoin is anyone's guess but if I held a good few coins in there now then I would be cashing them in while I can and investing in physical gold and silver.
