Agree it was a fiasco at HL. I tried to buy shares in a company other than GGP and accepted a price well within the time limit yet it didn't go through. Tried for ages for a requote and by the time I got one it had gone up 5p a share. First time that's ever happened to me. I later tried to buy some GGP shares and couldn't even get into my account. Strange day!
Just before the 9th set of Havieron drilling results were due I decided to top up as I was very confident that the results would be good. They were, yet the sp went down and I could have bought cheaper even after such fantastic results. The same thing happened after the 10th set of great results and once again I found I could have topped up for less. A LTH then posted that such temporary sp dips were usual with GGP after the drilling results come out. I took note and this last time didn't top up even though I was tempted. I was again confident (thanks mainly to the wonderful updates on this site) that the results would be good but thought the sp might well fall just temporarily as it had on the previous two occasions. It's done that and has presented a great opportunity to buy in or top up before the price begins to rise, slowly but surely to the next level as it has on at least the last two occasions. If the SWAG results come in as well then the usual percentage rise may well be even greater. Let's hope so.
I can't wait to see the MRE on this one. They are usually very conservative but what would be 'conservative' for this monster!
Jonathan Guy ranked #5,562 out of 7010 analysts on Tip Ranks (#11,633 out of 14,683 overall experts). Wow. Says all I need to know!
Done the same myself and bought at 19.88p. I'm certainly not listening to the doom and gloom merchants on here. Nothing has changed since last week except we are closer to getting more exciting news.
Strange that the SP is falling so much with buys currently at 31.1 million (£7 million) against 15.9 million sells (£3 million). MM's having a little fun for a short while.
I'm not worried. In fact I took the opportunity to top up this morning. I asked myself how confident I was that the SP would hit at least 30p and the answer was extremely. That in itself would achieve a decent profit although I do see it going much higher than that in the not too distant future. However, as always, people should DYOR and make their decisions accordingly.
As the great speculator Jesse Livermore once said "Money is made by sitting not trading. It never was my thinking that made the big money for me. It was always my sitting".
I think many investors in GGP will agree with that! Further patience and 'sitting on hands' as Paddy says will no doubt reap further reward.
Fun, I agree. In fact I wouldn't want to be out of this for the next six months at least.
LB, exactly. The SP may ebb and flow a bit but there will be no stopping the Hemo tide. If good news comes the rise will be like a tsunami.
TLSA currently up over 50% in the US at $7.50. We have a little bit of catching up to do!!
The FTSE was down over 140 points today and only a handful of the top 100 companies ended in the blue. VDTK held its own and I think, in the particular circumstances, that's a very good result. I wish some of my other shares had managed to do the same. Hopefully, it's onwards and upwards tomorrow as the market recovers some ground. All that appears to be needed with this company is a little patience and shareholders will be well rewarded.
Hydrogen, in my view you've no need to apologise, your certainly very positive and protective about GGP and why not? I'm a newish holder of shares in the company having first bought in at 8.75p. I have bought several times since and managed to get a few more this morning at 13.68p. I will not be selling any of my shares anytime soon. I haven't a clue how high the sp will go but I'm confident it's well north of where it is now. I would also add that lth's seem to think that newbies such as myself will 'run for the exit' as soon as a bit of a shake in the sp occurs. However, I think that most of the investors who have done any amount of research will not be selling, they will be dreaming of what's going to happen over the next few months.
JHMO, I was one of the lucky ones able to view the webinair. As others have said, his presentation skills are certainly not the best but it must be remembered he is one of the best in a laboratory. I agree we need better PR. I soon realised that many people, mainly those looking for a short term profit, were not going to get the news they were expecting and that as a result the share price would fall. However, I didn't hear anything which made me change my mind about the positive way in which I view the company's future. I'm in this for the long haul and the fall in the SP is simply a buying opportunity as far as I'm concerned. Good to see you've already taken advantage, I'm hoping to do the same shortly.
scart - yes, i did know that. It was a silly comment. Incidentally, Pacha's purchase shows up as a 'sell' on both sites.
Yes, agreed. With the spread being so close at the moment it is difficult to tell where the midpoint was at the time of purchase. Obviously a judgement is made on the This is Money site but, of course, they may be wrong. Hopefully they are today for Hemo.
HH, as I said I would love them to be buys. However, on the This is Money site they are definitely showing up as sells. Anyway, it will be their loss for selling (if indeed they did). Perhaps someone can give an insight into the reliability of the information on the This is Money site. I find it quite useful.
JHFH,
Out of 46 trades at 11:33:01 only eight were buys. I would love it if they were all buys but, for some reason I can't understand, some people appear not to appreciate how lucky they were to be in this stock at such a low price. They may well regret selling very soon.
Aviz,
I don't think anyone who uses this bb is going to get anxious about the share price and sell this week. Everyone here has their eye on next weeks results (and of course the do at the Stag). They will not be selling and I certainly won't. I'm full of eager anticipation about the drill results on the 23rd and I don't think I'm the only one.
