Inspiration, I've done exactly the same as you. I'm hoping the number of shares I have applied for under the offer is not scaled back too far. Still, any I get at 4.8p is a great bonus so far as I'm concerned.

Ben, I can see that happening when we join the ASX. As SD said recently the Aussies have nothing to sell, they will all be buyers. What percentage of the shares in issue they will buy is anyone's guess but it's likely in my view to involve a lot of shares. I think the Aussies will like what they see in GGP. Let's hope so anyway.

The naysayers can keep having a go but anyone with any sense will take no notice. The RNS's, one after another, tell you all you need to know about the great opportunity investors in GGP have if they just have a bit of patience. It also, of course, means that we should be seeing the first pour sooner than we thought. What's not to like?

Newcrest are currently advertising lots of jobs. Two are at Havieron. They are looking for a Security Officer and an Emergency Response Team Specialist. The jobs are fixed term with end dates of June 2024 and 30th June 2024 respectively.

Hi Tom, thanks for taking the trouble to look into the situation regarding this issue.
I have kept an eye on the Byrnecut website looking for any information regarding progress on the advancement of the decline, employees involved and the amount and type of equipment they have on site. Nothing changed for months and then suddenly the changes I've referred to show up in the last day or two. Hopefully we will get clarification very soon although I'm confident there won't be a problem.

Aimingtoplease, no I haven't yet. I think I'll wait and see if anything comes out of the TH meeting today before I do anything.

Tom, yes it would be useful to get the issue cleared up. I do, however, like the fact that the site now shows there are an extra 21 employees involved from what was previously shown. Perhaps they are trying to speed things up a bit.

Hi TomE, if you have a look at the page with all their projects listed it shows the Havieron contract as completed.
I obviously think that work is ongoing and that, as shown by the number of employees involved, they appear to have even increased the workforce. Since they were making changes to the site why not simply say that the contract had been extended?

That may very well be the case but why not show that on their website? As I stated the change has only taken place in the last couple of days. It's certainly not clear what is going on.

I've noticed that Byrnecut, the mining contractor involved in constructing the decline at Havieron, have changed their website in the last couple of days. It now shows the contract at Havieron has been completed. The contract was from January 2021 to October 2022 but obviously work has been ongoing since then. Seems strange to now give the impression that they are no longer involved. However, I also notice that they have also recently changed the figures shown for the project from 58 employees to 79 on site and they now quote advancement per month (2022) as 90 metres. Very strange.

Well, the answer to some extent is that all is not as it seems. I bought a few thousand shares this morning but it showed up as a sell. A few other trades at the same price and about the same time also showed up as sells. I think we were just lucky enough to buy below the mid price at the time. Happens sometimes but is misleading when they show as sells.

Good to see things appear to be progressing nicely.

Newcrest are now advertising for a Cultural Heritage Advisor at Havieron.
"The Havieron Project has shown outstanding drilling results to date. To support the ongoing exploration drilling studies and early development options, we are looking to recruit a Cultural Heritage Advisor - to promote understanding of Indigenous cultural heritage amongst the Havieron workforce.
You will be responsible for delivering a range of outcomes as specified in the Indigenous Land Use Agreement (ILUA) between Havieron and the Western Desert Land Aboriginal Corporation (WDLAC). This includes cultural heritage surveys and associated reporting, cultural awareness training, Aboriginal / Torres Strait Islander employee support and business development programs".

Newcrest are advertising for a Mining Surveyor.
"Reporting into the Mining Superintendent / Alternate Manager, the Mine Surveyor will play a key role in the Havieron Project Team. In this fixed term contract to 31st December 2022, you will be accountable for ensuring accurate surveying of the greenfields site through the supervision and provision of data collection, analysis and reporting.

You will also play a key role in assisting mining personnel with the mine design, providing efficient delivery mine plans, and generating regular reporting to aid with contractor claims".
Things are moving along nicely.

Kevin, as it has been for quite a long time. I've checked it regularly over the last few months and it's never changed.

The RNS of 28th October stated as follows:
'Exploration decline has advanced 211 metres'.
So, they should have made significant progress since then. We are getting closer and closer every day to that gold and copper.

Newcrest have a job advertised for a Superintendent at Havieron.

I like the bit about rapidly approaching the delivery of an initial resource.

Further to your question about the length of the contract for this job I got in touch with Newcrest and have been told that the contract is until 31st December 2022. I hope that helps.

@CJ. Strangely it doesn't say how long the the contract is for just that it's a fixed term, full time position and is being advertised internally at this stage.

Newcrest have another job on offer at Havieron.

Note the reference to rapidly approaching a maiden resource. It won't be long now!
