Chrishar well I am in both and when AVCT got to 1.85 at the end of May I sold a large proportion. Still hold some (around 3k) but have to say yes maybe in time (over the next few years) there maybe a good upside, but I also feel we have been told 'soon, soon soon' too many time, as I said I am expecting another tranche of fundraising before Christmas over there.

Happier over here when we get the announcement we will be moving into an acquisition phase at the AGM, long term this share has far more growth.

So where would I put my extra cash?
1) A company that is cash rich and increasing as each month goes on.
2) A company that is about to announce a possible acquisition strategy
or
3) A company that has no finished products as yet and is burning cash.

Personally my view is Novacyt are cash rich and this is why they will be looking at the buy back scheme. After this they will be looking at acquisitions of companies outside of the covid area (but within pharmaceuticals) perhaps looking at 'change of use' of some of the products coming to their patent end of life, which can then be used as alternative treatments for other diseases etc. This would ensure longevity and growth of the company.

Agree with trottersintrade, I hold some share there but as time goes on and with keep being told 'soon' I am getting more and more skeptical. Would not be surprised if by Christmas they announce another round of funding.

Perhaps they are being socially aware and realise having 100’s or more shareholders in a room is totally irresponsible. Found this announcement a positive and shows how the compañy is taking this pandemic seriously, unlike some other companies/people.

CS if your basing that on the history of the governments decisions then nope they will not choose the ‘best one’, all those masks they couldn’t use, all the gowns they ordered and couldn’t use! So nope not the best test. Most likely the most readily available, cheapest and most convenient, or who ever has the biggest paper bag to hand over, who knows.
Saying all that I’ll stick with the cash rich company with ‘the gold standard’ thanks.

Usain_ what if FrankD are in multiple facilities within the UK and have chosen the Gensig Q32 machine to do all of their testing on? Then we are not talking just 2 machines.....we are talking many many machines....

Looks like they have chosen the best machine for the job then! the Gensig Q32 just do a quick search on the net and the machine comes up in a lot of their marketing material and as said before on their you tube demonstration. So we are not just supplying the best test available to many many countries we are also assisting other testing companies with their tests using our superb equipment, win win as far as I am concerned.

well if not they are 99% identical....so someone is getting sued! Am guessing it could be a licensing deal or partnership using our Gensig Q32's to carry out the tests.
