Ohdannyboy lovely spot!
Its interesting that they are not distancing themselves from the trail indeed in their wording it would seem they are very proud of their involvement. For me knowing they are working on a vaccine but also see SNG001 as a treatment they want keep close contacts with tells me all I need to know! The two can and will be used in conjunction and compliment each other!
'Preliminary results of a clinical trial supported by Oxford BRC researchers have suggested that a new treatment for COVID-19 dramatically reduces the number of patients needing intensive care. The treatment, a protein called interferon
beta, has been developed by the UK biotech company Synairgen and scientists at the University of Southampton. Interferon beta, produced naturally by the body when it gets a viral infection, is inhaled directly into the lungs of patients with
COVID-19 using a nebuliser, with the aim of reducing viral load and stimulating an immune response. '
Looking forward to hearing what they have to say :)
Might even do a cheeky top up :)
