Pressure building - no doubt we will see a chunky delayed trade showing up after close. Annoying I have to look up recent trades on another platform as this freezes after lunchtime on a daily basis. But pleased to see quite a few chunky buys already gone through this afternoon.

No-one allowed to buy in any volume on the faux drop as usual - they’re collecting for sure. Suggest hold tight it’ll pass and back up we go - good support level 12.80 - think we will break that this afternoon ready for next leg up back into 13’s.

MM’s trying to hold things in a tight band always a good sign - pressure here feels very eery...we are on the brink of the next leg which will be fast and furious up to 12p+

I would suggest that as this is being targeted by majority Algo trading imho that people simply HOLD. As scary as that might be.
Algo trading is in charge at the moment so don’t do their bidding by selling up as that’s a necessary part of the Algo strategy and that helps push it down for them to mop up. PI’s then panic and sell but the Algo trades will buy it up instantly and begin to accumulate again to sell as the price is pushed higher by the Algo buy trades now. Meanwhile those who panic sold are locked out of the downward trend to buy, panic again and rush in to buy as it rises again and helps the Algo trading in pushing the SP back up.
Great if you can trade and are already liquid but incredibly difficult to do. Just bear in mind that Algo trading needs the SP to rise back up and so it will and we should see higher highs.

Russia AND Saudis can’t keep this up - growth will be decimated. There will be some unanimous announcement served up as a charitable act for the world - this is about power but irony is each party knows the other can’t win and any protracted stance will hurt both deeply which will weaken their places on the world stage.
if there’s rumours floating around of an approach then I would elect to believe that they’re true and they will back down.

Both the Saudis and Russia can’t sustain crazy low oil prices for any length of time. We have the added global danger of Coronavirus on world economy - they can’t sustain selling less at lower prices. Oil prices need to rebound for both the Saudis and Russians - they won’t impose any self inflicted wounds to their economy for any sustained period - they’re simply muscle flexing.

You’re not going get much more of a bargain here than today that was it.
All the deramping wishing in the world won’t let this drop back to prices you’re all quoting. Today was a savage day in the markets but shock factor has diluted now and knee jerk panic dissipated. We are where we are but in anyone’s books this remains a huge opportunity. Oil prices will rebound soon - both Russia and Saudis have over egged their positions and will strive to offer some generous compromise in a face saving exercise to avoid strangling growth.
China, South Korea now moving back to more structured normality.
