MJ - it’s bull because the thing you’re trying to focus on and push here is Russian propaganda from their news agency and completely missing the actual physical reality of what the Russian army are doing right now as they reach Ukraine capital and that’s the lead story here- are those the actions of someone who wants to end this by negotiation and diplomacy obviously not - the war is not going anywhere anytime soon. Sanctions from Russia will increase - so far all flights banned from U.K. etc and other NATO countries - we await to see what else Putin will do now from financial side and THIS is the worry where. U.K. companies have financial links and dependence on Russian state organisations for their business - what happens if EUA get kicked out the country?

We have a JV with the Russian state effectively part of the Russian Federation - in light of all that’s going on and the fact Russia and Putin are now becoming world pariahs this is not something that sits well with me.

Knowles - it doesn’t matter whether state owned or not - WHICH banks do they operate with in Russia and if Russia is indeed ejected from SWIFT international payment scheme by sanctions (which are being considered) then money can’t leave the country or enter it that way. EUA have to bank with someone in Russia surely to pay staff operations etc - what is the route to getting money from a U.K. company into Russia then? Where do EUA bank then? Relevant and important questions to be asked. It’s not just about dealing with state owned banks but all banking and the banking systems within Russia.

One of the key points is they are considering ejecting Russia from the SWIFT international payments systems - so ALL banks in Russia could only operate and move money within Russian borders not outside the country. THAT is to me a huge red flag!

So money would not be allowed to leave the country but only operate within Russian borders - this would be catastrophic and they haven’t decided yet but if this comes in which looks likely as war intensifies.

Heading in the right direction - MM are out of stock after yesterday’s Buyathon - I see 3.00’s are back on the near horizon. Nothing to stop this now no obstacles in the SP’s way and any further rally of buy demand pressure and we may even have a crack at the 4.00’s - we are well worth it.

So who do they bank with how do they get money into the country to pay for operations ? I’m sorry you don’t like uncomfortable questions here and you all want it to go back to all being tickety boo but even Tilly has seen the writing on the wall. The risk here and the unknowns makes this an uninvestible stock now imho. The point missing was that they may not deal with Russian Stare banks but they must have to deal with money within the country via either Russian banks or foreign banks operating in Russia and the financial systems to get that money in and out. The other sanction was stopping Russian companies from raising money on U.K. stock markets so the very thing in terms of Arctic residency for the protection of assets may have an impact in terms of association with these agreements. Furthermore we are in a JV with state owned organisations ROSGEO is state owned. Yesterday changed everything in terms of relationships -they are doing away with international law in attacking Ukraine and now EUA is subject to Russian laws and any sanctions they wish to impose on U.K. countries in retaliation plus any further sanctions U.K. NATO USA impose on dealing with Russia or doing business with Russia. A reminder our assets are in Russia and they are Russian, the company has licences and agreements and titles to them. What’s to stop that those being swept away by Russian Gov?

CTC - rubbish the sanctions referred to were yesterday within trading time and Putin hasn’t announced his sanctions in retaliation- that’s what you need to focus on not just sanctions issued fro the West but from Russia against the west ffs that’s the key point here plus any further sanctions from U.K. in dealing with Russia as EUA is a British company

The RNS today is essentially exactly they same one issued already and how come it took them 24 hours to pen - I feel the decline in SP is inevitable now - this is another spike to allow people out slightly higher with less losses. New buyers are not going to thunder in on that RNS - face it this situation is not under the control of the BOD or the investors any more. The impact has been devastatingly shown despite the previous RNS saying it’d effectively all blow over and the identikit one before the next drop.
I think the MM stumping the SP up is scandalous but like I said welcome for people to have opportunity to sell out if they’ll let you but it won’t last for long. Chartists are seeing a gap in the 7.00s.

PK - not all banks in Russia are state owned - they don’t carry round a huge sack of Rubles to pay for their operations and mining costs do they - they can’t wire sacks of money into the country constantly. And if they did that would also be in danger from the U.K. side of things wouldn’t it - they may be stumped either way. Russia may prevent U.K. companies from bringing money into the country and vice versa.

CTC - the sanctions referred to are issued by USA and NATO countries - we don’t know nor do BOD what the sanctions are from Putin coming the other way tit for tat yet so the RNS only refers to sanctions imposed by them in terms of Russian state owned banks not Russia. They also don’t know how many more sanctions will be imposed by U.K. USA and NATO yet obviously
