I agree that options normally are a great incentive (to do well) but of very limited value as an incentive if the exercise price is zero (or 1cent/share as here) since they are already seriously in-the-money without them have done any additional hard or clever work. They might as well have give them the shares straight away for 1 cent.
"The Company (AIM:CAML) announces that, on 3 June 2014, the following nominal cost options ("Options") over ordinary shares in the Company at a nominal exercise price of $0.01 per share, were granted to Directors of the Company. Each option is exercisable in return for one ordinary share"
