Wow. Just hit a new 52w low. Shorters are doing a great job of what they're paid to do. I fear we have much further to go before they decide to close. Looks like they're in full control for now. Only thing which can save us is the slim chance of a bid.

I think you're underestimate the ability of hedge funds to manipulate the share price. This is a pretty illiquid share, so they don't need a huge short position to control the share price. I actually think 0.61% is a pretty big bet considering the market cap is only £162m. However, totally agree the decline is well overdone and doesn't reflect the fundamentals. Just a waiting game until common sense prevails.

Don't wish to be pessimistic, but there's a declared short position of 0.61%. I think they have this on a very short leash. Look how quickly it come down from 100p once it was reported. Unfortunately. I can't see any significant moves up until they decide they've had enough fun. I suspect they will close sometime next month nearer to the trading update to avoid getting their fingers burnt. Of course, hope I'm wrong.

Totally agree. To be honest, I'm a little surprised there hasn't been any bid interest yet. It's a complete steal at this bargain level.

Looks like the market agrees with you! Wish I had the balls to buy more, but I'm fully loaded. Some loose holders have been shaken out. Hopefully will move upwards from here. GLA.

A little harsh. The problem was isolated to two North American sites. The rest of the business is trading as expected. The new management have identified cost savings which should flow through in 2025. There's quite a few positives to focus on once the dust settles. Wouldn't be surprised if the share price recovers significantly over the course of this week.

Well that explains the recent share price weakness. Someone clearly knew this profit warning was coming. Does anyone have any views as to whether this increases or decreases the likelihood of this being a takeover target? It's certainly a lot cheaper now.

Same story today. Some chunky buying but share price continues to slip. No evidence of big holders reducing or any short interest being reported. Any views? I'm sitting on a hefty loss and tempted to dump if this continues for much longer.

Unusual trading over the last couple of weeks. Reasonable buying, but the share price decline has accelerated. With the shares going ex-div later this week, we could be left hovering around the 52 week low. Chart looks horrible.

Interesting acquisition by BlackRock. Wonder if there's any read across to Parameta? They could certainly pick it up very cheaply based on TCAP's valuation. Probably more likely than the partial IPO.

Not unrealistic. The share price is already beginning to slide as investors price in this outcome. The longer this uncertainty drags on, the more the share price will drift lower. I will be very surprised if we don't see 200p this week and then who knows where it will find support? This useless management couldn't fight their way out of paper bag. Personally, I've got zero confidence in them pulling this off.

Am I the only beginning to doubt whether management are seriously considering this partial IPO of Parameta. First time it was officially mooted, was in the final results at the beginning of March, which is now 3 months ago! Presumably, they've been considering it for a lot longer though. What is taking so long? I won't be surprised if they eventually inform the market that despite having considered the options carefully, they've concluded the move is unviable. Feels like this BoD are full of hot air. We need a change in management to generate some real ideas and action to increase shareholder value. The business is woefully undervalued and out of favour with investors. That's my rant over.

Good to see another director buy albeit only 25k shares. Insider buying has sadly been absent for a long time and been an ongoing criticism leveled against the Board. Glad they're listening now.

A couple of delayed buys reported after the bell with a combined volume of over 2 million. Definitely haven't seen that for a while. Hopefully the tide is turning.
