War and company view from Ukraine13 Aug 2025 14:48
Dear investors to Ferrexpo and everyone who supports Ukraine. Thank you very much for your support and assistance. I want to separate two things: investment in the company and the war. Unfortunately, the war will continue, and this is Putin's desire. He will continue until the end, as long as he has the financial and human resources. Unlike Ukrainians, 80% of Russians are fighting for money. They sign contracts to fight in the war. They receive an immediate payment of $8,000 to $12,000, followed by monthly payments of $1,500 to $2,000. For ordinary Russians, this is a huge amount of money. About 200,000 prisoners from Russian prisons who have been convicted of crimes (murder, robbery, violence, or drugs) have been drafted into the Russian army. For a huge number of Russians, the war in Ukraine means money and freedom from prison. The war in Ukraine cannot be stopped like in Korea or Germany along the line of contact. There were and still are American troops in Korea, and British and American troops in Germany prevented Stalin from capturing the whole of Germany. As long as Ukraine has resources, it will continue to fight until a solution is found to end the war. I would also like to write about America's role in the war with Russia. Over the past 120 years, America has actively helped and saved the Russian Empire, the USSR, and modern Russia.(money, technology, military aid). The USSR and the US divided Europe after Yalta in 1945, despite Churchill's resistance. The US does not need a strong Europe; it is very important for the US that Europe depends on US aid and military protection. America is not interested in the defeat of Putin and modern Russia.
As a former investor to Ferrexpo , I sold my shares in February 2025. I plan to buy shares in the company when I see that the risks currently facing the company have significantly decreased. These risks include a fabricated $3.8 billion fine and criminal cases against the company's management. I am closely monitoring the company in Ukraine. Unfortunately, the company has become a victim of the war between the largest shareholder and President Z's entourage. None of this makes sense or defies logic. The key problem for the company is not the war with Russia, but the pressure on the key shareholder to take away his stake in the company. This is very difficult to do, and Zhevago will fight to the end for his company. It is likely that President Z's entourage wanted to bankrupt the company through fines or nationalize it. But this option carries a huge risk: in a London court, the company's shareholders will prove that the company was deliberately bankrupted in order to take it away. This is very similar to the Yukos case against Russia. Now President Z's entourage has a new goal: to legally take Zhevago's share through a British court based on his debts to his bankrupt bank. It's like sopa opera and action movie rolled into one. I'm watching the events unfold.
