The reason the 3 stooges are so disliked is they display classic symptoms of egocentric narcissism (well worth a Google read). This clinical condition is exceptionally difficult to treat, with poor prognosis. At a certain high point along the clinical spectrum/ continuum, an individual may be classed as a deviant egocentric narcissist. Treatment relies upon an acceptance of having a problem - in similar way to an alcoholic needing to admit a problem to have any recovery hope. But whereas alcoholism usually presents a well defined 'intervention opportunity' (eg illness, job, home or relationship loss, shame, reaching bottom etc), which a sufferer may opt to embrace, egocentric narcissism rarely does. Typically, egocentric narcissists (ENs) progress through life with no specific event injuring them enough to have to address reality. A significant proportion of very beautiful women are classic egocentric narcissists.
On a microlevel the EN is perfectly amiable, until their view of a matter is contested. Then all hell breaks loose - confrontation, evasion, abuse, implied or explicit superiority etc. The EN usually argues on a narrow point, deliberately ignoring the wider context. The EN 's sense of humour is underdeveloped. When personal relationships suffer, the EN simply moves on - it is never the EN's fault. On a macro level, the EN often has power and thus may become dangerous. Trump, fat Boris and Putin are extreme examples of deviant ENs. Can one ever imagine holding a reasonable discussion with any of the 3, or of ever winning an argument? Hell would freeze over and one's whole life be wasted before such would occur.
The Hurr argument is not a narrow one of whether or not $230 free cash is available July 2022 to repay bonds - the argument chosen and focused on by the 3 stooges. It is a far broader one - of how and why a BoD employed to act in certain ways (ie what a responsible BoD could & should have done) not only did not do so, but acted (and continue) in a manner wholly contrary and destructive. Whereas one swallow does not make a summer, a flock does. The culmination is the inexplicability of, with dramatically rising POO, a proposal to exchange 95% of the company for $50mill + a time extension. I am as certain as I can be that the BoD and bondholders are in bed together for the promise of future share options, employment, call it what you will, etc.
Whereas ENs often possesses average intelligence, they rarely exceed this by any significant degree. Their IQ (intelligence quotient) may be average occasionally above. But their EQ (emotional quotient) is often so far below average that they may be classed as , in clinical terms, emotional imbeciles. The EN has no intellectual comprehension or perception of another person's viewpoint possibly being more valid than theirs
