Absolutely correct. I'd go so far as to say the rest of the stock market is (almost) entirely irrelevant to us, for good or for bad.

To be fair, they have to say that. What do you think a bank run is? What do you think money is?

Not very! (see my previous post). But £10 more relevant than a bid or offer which is wholly without volume.

Reality is, usually mid is great, but for small volume stocks and small movements...not so much. If you had a house on a street of 50 houses and they were all the same and you wanted to value your house, would the most recent sale price on your street (last week) be more accurate, or would the current advertisement in Foxtons be more accurate?

But then you go and do this. No. The price is the most recent price paid by a real person. Should be obvious to all except chartists and meth heads. But one of those is clearly a redundancy.

Nope. All over what the share price, any share price, actually is.

Yes, however we never know precisely what we can buy or sell for until we actually do so. This can also vary with amount. The best price for any asset is the last actual trade that happened. And as with anything, there's an exception: if that trade was for a particularly small amount, it may not really count as price discovery. Then go back and look at the last trade that occured for whatever you consider to be a legitimate volume, maybe £1000.

I'm incredibly wary about assumptions, however well taken, that haven't been actually announced by RNS. I've spent the last decade being stung by this.

Not talking about that. The other schedules they may have. Maintenance, fit outs, and other logistics too. Which clients are shipping which products where. These things are industry secrets.

It's not their schedule to release. If MSC doesn't publicise it's internal procedures, that's it.
