Ha ha - handkerchief tied on all four corners, the suns still getting through, it’s fried my brain :)
Tullow, is the new 0.50p share, it’s literally been this price over nearly the past 12 months with a few peaks and troughs here and there.
If I wanted no stress and an easy life my bank would gladly look after my money for me and lend it out to mortgage customers and I’d literally be in the same position from a year ago, that’s no growth and an inflationary devalue in my money.
Wait, I have just had an epiphany moment, I have realised that the cost of investing here is payment for the gift of stress tullow is giving me, thank you tullow now I know what the real value is :)
Booooom - but I still can’t figure out whether this goes in our favour or against us, or does it just purely benefit the purchaser / seller given it unknown to us PI’s
Bacchusll- I think your getting your wires crossed, after hours and after the UT is declared there’s usually some large unknown trades of circa 1,000,000 I think that’s what Supercooper will be referring to
BRB - let’s see if the habitual 1,000,000 out of hours share trade appears again
Anton - I’m not sure if you got lucky this time, as after looking at the charts the 5% swings do not really correlate to any rhyme or reason, I too would dearly love to be making money rather than stagnating, timing here and with most buying and selling is crucial. I would love to know what’s behind the 1 million regular trades, I do not fully understand the out of hours thing and with them being unknown etc.
Maybe if swings are being caused artificially, then a conglomeration of PI’s making the same trade at the same time could swing things in our favour to buy back at a more attractive price - we could call ourselves the “TULLOWS BUYERS CLUB” I’m sure there’s part of a film title in there somewhere :) and maybe Matthew McConaughey could play the lead role
To be fair on you Anton, the share price has not dropped as much as I feared, you were right :)
https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/tullow-oil-abandons-guyana-well-after-dismal-drilling-results-2022-08-05/
Aug 5 (Reuters) - Tullow Oil (TLW.L) said on Friday it would abandon drilling operations at Beebei-Potaro exploration well in offshore Guyana after results showed the well bore water.
The London-based group said the well, which has been drilled to a depth of 4325 metres, still displayed "good quality reservoir" in its primary and secondary targets.
Cant read the full article, but the last paragraph puts a more positive light on things
BRB - you strike me as the kinda guy who laughs in the face of danger and adversity, are you planning on any suicide missions just for kicks?
Or is it limited to brawling behind the bins and drinking copious amounts of Stella and then waking up the next day with scrapped knuckles, black eyes and a bruised ego - because that’s how i feel today after the RNS :-(
I don’t think I’ll be buying on anymore dips, I think I’ll leave that story to the rampers, unless this is getting the bad news out before the good news hits.
I must say though that the good news seems to be forever getting further and further away and out of reach
May be in for a battering on the share price today, when will we get a break, just a sniff of good news would be nice :(
Not great news
5 August 2022 - Tullow Oil plc (Tullow) announces that drilling operations at the Beebei-Potaro exploration well, drilled in the Kanuku licence, offshore Guyana, have been completed. The well encountered good quality reservoir in the primary and secondary targets but both targets were water-bearing.
The Noble Regina Allen rig drilled the Beebei-Potaro well to a Total Depth of 4325 metres in 71 metres of water and the well has been plugged and abandoned. Tullow will integrate the well results into its regional subsurface models and work with its joint venture partners before deciding on next steps.
Repsol is the operator of the Kanuku licence with a 37.5% working interest. Tullow holds 37.5% with TOQAP holding 25%.

There you go, you were right, another £1 million trade after hours
Theres lots of jiggery poker going on, after reading the Tullow web page and reading the RNS’s, certain traders are increasing either long or short positions here, there seems to be those that are backing tullow as long term prospects but also those that are betting on shorts - those dirty blighters
Micky-boy - welcome to the world of the unfaithful mistress, who is tullow, she sets expectations high and just when you blink she gives you a stealth ball flick with momentary delayed pain in the gonads - usually this time of day most days :)
