Dr, you know well that the issue is that Brad has no skin in the game and lame excuses about closed periods is rubbish. He relies on options. This is a red flag for many investors like Rick rule or Ross Beaty and complete opposite of collective that you use as a comparison. It is a far better comparison than ludicrous ggp of years ago but the issue is that collective can attract very large cash raises and put the majority of it in the ground. Omi we know get through $2.5 m per annum doing nothing so a far smaller % of a far smaller pot goes in the ground!

However we are progressing and the share price has re rated even if it has dropped significantly over the last few months. It is to be expected that it will trade in a range until we have news that materially changes things.

Best to be cautious and keep average as low as possible imo and fingers crossed but personally not scared of bailing if sensible either. There’s no real reward for blind faith in aim but you can get lucky.

He then buys £200 worth of pies at £1.50 but has still only actually spent £100 . This gives him133 pies for £100, computer will tell him £200 . Predicted the two cash raises which you guys said wouldn’t happen and the laughable prediction of 1-2 m oz mre for January which rns last autumn and yesterday confirm was just ramping waffle of the highest order. How much % does your platform tell you you are up over that total holding period. 55% not bad over 6 months , what’s it up over 4 years ? Hardly keeping up with inflation I would say. I have seen more than 50% gain in most tech over the last month . Obviously there were some big drops previously for a while, that’s why you trade out when you see a big correction starting.

So to really press some buttons, I sold here at 8 p with an average of 4 p put it into Cnr, made a 90% profit then bought back gradually ending up with an average of 3.7.

So basically bought back here with free money . But I am discounting that. At the end of the day, when you verbally attack someone try to discredit them constantly you should expect them to come back at you. I realise that trading is not for everybody but it is a valid tool in investing.

Wind the clock back 4.5 -5years. Because I gave realistic view on the share and traded when sensible. When I bailed out here I re bought Cnr at 17 p just after their last cash raise and up for sale and sold on a Clear pump and dump at 36 p just after. The poster there that has loaded up Vance 123 catchphrase that you are now also using, hindsight, couldn’t believe I sold at 36 p. That poster had more than £400 k apparently and an average well over 40 p. Well Vance 123 can tell you what Cnr was sold for with his imaginary large buy. I have a holding in Mtl , considerably smaller than I had in Cnr but don’t post often because I don’t want my weirdo multi Id stalkers ruining another bb . Best to keep them in one zoo!

Most of my shares now are us and Canadian based. My reasoning for not buying more Omi shares around 4.5 p was correctly that a discounted raise was coming. And I was sticking in Mstr at that point. I first mentioned Mstr to jackal in January as we were both in Shg and I swapped straight over on news. So nothing hindsight. Been mentioning Bitcoin since it was $4.5 k 4.5 years ago . I always listen to what someone says and evaluate. Have made some of my best decisions by listening to other people. Occasionally other posters. Bought early in covid stocks from other posters . As regards having 70 odd positions, so what ! Many of them sre miners. The rest consists mainly of crypto related like Mstr , Robin Hood, solana strategies. Ai and tech like nvidia palantir. Are they all in profit nope but most have the ability to rocket. I hold porch group. Down minus one week and up 90% in a week.

Stoneo, legal has identified a SIMPLE answer to your 20 p average conundrum. Simply sell them for 9.5 p and abracadabra you now have a 9.5 p average. Forget that you are still over 50% underwater cos the platform computer says no.😂 Wolfonomics.

An example.

If Stoneo sells his 20 p average at 10 p nothing has changed. He still has a 50% material loss but his average shown has reduced dramatically. That published average is not now realistic. The same is true when trading and re buying. Ou think that I could have twice as many shares for £10 k without putting new cash in and my true average skyrockets. So dumb! Agreed the platform will increase average.

To work out a true average I would need to work out return on capital invested then divide by number of shares. This would take a long time as I have a shed load of buys because I buy very often. My platform ave has gone from 3.7 to just over 5 p but is not a true average.

It is amusing watching peeps who predicted 20-30 p imminently desperately tying to discredit my posting. Just like it is amusing that now we have news that inclement weather holds up things . Doc says rain is late. Nope drilling was late. Rainy season is sept Oct Nov. Drilling end of Nov.

Karl you are aware that there are various ways of working averages out?

If I sold out as I did at 8 p then when I started buying back anew I view it as a new holding. If I was using a trading acc then I would view each trade as seperate as would be taxable. However I have gradually building this holding in isa with no tax liability, trading part and re buying.

Again do you think that if I double my ammount of shares for no further capital that I have doubled my true average. My overall return on capital will increase exponentially. The way the platform works out average will not give an accurate idea . Each to their own. I have more shares for no increased cash . You work it out however you like along with what percentage cheaper 13 p shares can be bought for now!

It is quite amusing seeing peeps who predicted 20-30 p many months ago trying to take me down while sp heads to 9 p.

Legal, I have explained that if you trade regularly the average given in your account does not give a relevant true average. In your world I could trade three times, have 100% more shares for the same cash outlay and a have an astronomical average. If you can’t see how dumb that is there is no Hope . I rebuy here the same cash ammount and more shares so for my info although true average has decreased I stick with my original average for a close reference. If I used the platform ave it would not give me a true average at all.

Legal. It would take a fair while to work it out and I don’t need to. I know that basically I have more shares than I had 6 months ago for the same cash. Which to me if I have more shares for no more cash then I have reduced my average. However I have added some extra recently on top which should equal out at around my average of 3.7 when we left the 5s and I stopped buying. My intention is to keep my holding and it is all in isa.

Karl, I didn’t buy in the 40s 30s20s last time , traded on the way down a few times and sold out at 8 p with a 4 p average. Started re buying when we went sub 5 p buying down around 2.5 p. So again. If I sell £10 k shares at 15 p and rebuy £10 k at 10 p that gives me over 30% more shares for my £10 k. I guess you guys reckon if I did this 3 times I would then be losing money ? Don’t need to write a book it’s pretty simple. Do it 3x and you have 100% more shares .

However I only trade part of my holding which makes it harder to work out but I really don’t need to. I know it’s going in the right direction from 3.7 .

Legal, went through this one 4 years ago. There is not one way of working out an average. Yes on my acc because I have traded quite a few times it states I am up around 100% currently , however, when I sell I rebuy lower using the same ammount in cash this getting more shares with no outlay. My original average for Omi was 3.7 before trading. I continue to use that figure even though I have considerably more shares.

If for example I sold £10 k shares at 15 p and bought back at 10 p using £10 k do you think my true average has increased ? Even though I bought Mstr around $50 and they are over $ 400 I have traded it so much that my account says I am only 50% up.

I guess to work out true average would be to count how much new capital has been used and ivied into present value. I just know that I have more shares for no more cash however starting to ad a bit of new cash recently. So my stated average is approximately and conservative.

Dr, that update was preceded by forecasts of 20/30 p on news yet we see 10 p !! Just saying.

Having said that, with the right news we could see a good move up. Not sure 20 p comes straight away but I can see 20 p this year as a possible. For me with 3.6 p average a 3 p gain is very nice I don’t need to rely on multi-storey from 10 p . Multi from 3.6 makes my day. I may allow myself to raise average to 4 p maybe bit more when taking some crypto profit soon.

Rob, my strategy is to increase my holding without increasing my average. It worked for me last time and is working this time. I have increased my holding over the last couple of months and may add considerably if crypto does what I expect this year. Havnt traded here much because there hasn’t been a good spike for more than 3 months. Have been busy trading elsewhere and now reaping rewards with 50% plus gains in various tech and crypto related . Been working away for quite a while until recently an listened to a lot of interviews re gold/silver and crypto/ai etc. Rick rule described one of his explorers that spike and overshoot that he sells and buys back on retrace. Wasn’t Omi. Also described that he invest in mining people as well as projects.

You claim I am negative, well in what respect? I am happy to have a 3.6 p average and share price 10 p. Because I call into question unqualified predictions that generally turn out to be wrong is not negative!

Just bought 34,902 shares before the close at 11.45p. Could have bought them a couple of days ago at 10.325p lol.

Andy, tbh others have been predicting 20 s imminent for many months but one look at the charts shows lower highs and lower lows for last 3 months. Omi has dropped around 18% over the last month. Personally think we hopefully are around bottom at 10 p and have been adding for the last week. However, have seen stellar gains elsewhere over the last month which is why although a source of derision on here I hold a host of shares in different shares and sectors.

Imv it is best to react to news rather than constantly mostly incorrectly predict it and share price.

Again , not exactly sure how Stoneo is benefiting from his predictions but he has been closer than many here for last couple of months but let’s see where we head going forward. My mantra as always is keep average low and be ready to trade when opportunities arise. Have held here while dumped a lot of producers around 5/6 weeks ago to transfer into tech and Bitcoin proxies which has paid off nicely. Now re buying producers. Each to their own and good luck.
