With regards to price specifically, yes difficulty increases because it's more attractive to mine BTC therefore more miners come online which in turn increases the difficulty.

Two excellent points 28jaczar01! It will be a race to the top, who can get more customers online and accessing crypto more quickly. VISA is seen as archaic in comparison to PayPal in the eyes of the younger generations, Paypal is a serious threat to the triumvirate of Visa, Mastercard and Amex. This has almost started an arms race amongst them to secure the future customers, both from a retailer and card holder perspective. Bitcoin is going mainstream and there's nothing to stop it now.

It's not that I'm affronted by the lack of response to this just surprised we're posting on 'to the moon' and other various short termist subjects when this is possibly the biggest news this year. Paypal coming on board with Bitcoin was the catalyst of the last major price rise, VISA are Paypal's biggest competitor and I see this as a race to the top to attract Bitcoin users....incredible.

No.....my argument is based on them having faith, religious conviction, belief, trust, understanding, credence, optimism, confidence and knowledge of their macro economic forecast and strategy. Your argument is based on fear, caution, reticence, ignorance and and frankly old fashioned bias. As I say, this company's strategy is extremely transparent, more so than most others, if that doesn't suit you then perhaps you should consider some more traditional investments, no one is forcing you to hold here, no one is lying to you about the strategy, if you don't like it move on, if you do then hold and get behind it. I'm sorry that's where you are wrong, look at the stock to flow models that are incredibly accurate, look at pretty much every other forecast. If Argo didn't fully believe that the price of Bitcoin will be higher in one year then their entire business model is screwed. Your argument is completely self defeating and nonsensical .

My reply would be strategy v hunch! If you have a 'hunch' then you don't put all your eggs in one basket, if you have a strategy that is based on sound financial and macro economic modelling then you damn well do! This companies strategy is to build bitcoin reserves via mining operations, acquisition of technology and acquisition of Bitcoin. They aren't a pharmaceutical who are 'playing' with Bitcoin, they are a company focussed on the strategic acquisition of bitcoin, if they truly believe the price of Bitcoin is going to rise considerably this makes absolute sense. If that strategy, which is very clearly communicated does not suit you, then I suggest you move on. You sound like the same people who slate Saylor for investing his companies cash reserves in Bitcoin.....I think he's doing very well out of it, but this is a completely different kettle of fiat.
