Yes so far so good, only two red ones in entire portfolio (VOD and NG). SYME climbed more than 20% early in the morning but fell back. I was thinking of selling it and buy back later. But I am not a day trader. Was too slow react. Could have made £400 profit if I did. Instead, I just saw it falling back below my break even point. Oh dear me!

Oh wait a minute, think it has just gone back up a little. Now I am about £10 in profit.....hahahaha....what a joke!! That's me. I am not cut out to be a good Investor....lol

Elsewhere, my GGP is the star performer once again. It is steady as a rock but the Americans only just woke up. Anything can still happen when they join in the party later. Hope that we'll see a blue finish at the end the day.

....of VOD paying @124.50p. seem that someone is willing to pay a lot extra for the share. Maybe Vod will rebound tomorrow.

Yes, I am retired. I can have after nap. Therefore I only need a few hours of sleep at late....lol

I went to the supermarkets today and bought a lot of things because my son told me to buy a bit extra for the French have closed the border. There will be food shortages. I hope you have enough stocks piled up for the festival....hahahaha

Anyway, the FTSE100 future has gone up a bit after closing. Let's hope that the markets will rebound a little tomorrow.

Gosh, that was a total massacre today. The biggest losers of course were RDSB and Vod. Both are heavy weights of my portfolio. Only blue is GGP. It's the star performer yet once again but the rise was just about 3%. Far from enough to cover the huge losses of other parts of my portfolio but there was a huge late buy of 13m shares

FTSE100 Future is down sixty odd points and oil is down too. Don't think the markets will do well today. Now I am a bit nervous....lol

And sorry to disturb you in this early hours because I couldn't sleep too well and woke up before dawn....only joking it's because I went to bed early last night feeling sleepy probably didn't have my big mug of coffee yesterday morning...... hahahaha!!

I have done something silly. I subscribed to NIGHTCAP IPO because I got an invitation from advfn and I wasn't thinking straight. Later I realized that this is a night clubs business. At this moment with the covid-19, how many people will visut a night club? Fortunately, I have only subscribed £500(5000 shares @10p each) worth. Won't be a big loss even if it goes belly up.......hahahaha

Next time I better think before I act.....lol

My most sincere apologies, I must be getting the Alzheimer now. Been reading your posts many times and still mixed up with your in-law's gender, lol. Truly sorry for the mistake.

I live in the South East. The situation has got worse these past several days. We were only tier 2 few days ago. Then got up to tier 3 about 3 days ago and will be tier 4 inline with London after midnight tonight. It will last for two weeks but I think it will be extended if the situation is not going to improve. So, I am preparing myself to be locked in for a longer period. Never mind, as long as the stock markets will remain open then I will live......hahahahaha

My place has just been pushed up to tier 4. That means I have no choice but cancel my family Christmas dinner. This is not just a lockdown but we are also lock-in and now I am under house arrest after midnight. Oh dear me! This is the worst Christmas ever.

I hope that you will still be able to have your family gathering. So, I wish you, your family and your mother-in-law( the grand old lady )a very happy Xmas.

Now, I have no other options but got to glue to my mobile phone screen watching the share movements every minute, every second when the markets open........lol

Spent my last £3,800 cash in my ISA account. I was looking for an AIM to try my luck but eventually bought SYME. It went horribly wrong right away. That's what I am good at: buying dog shares! Of course this is too early to write this down yet as it's only the first day. It could turn out to be a winner one day, hahahaha.

I am now fully invested. I have to wait for my next dividend payment before I can look for another share to buy.....lol

Oh yes, my portfolio also has taken a knock too. Only 3 out 10(just added SYME and it went like dropping off a cliff right away, what luck!!) were blue. Sorry to hear that your portfolio was the same as well. Now only 3 and half trading days left before Xmas. It does seem that not very likely to have a Santa rally now but let's hope that it won't go too badly though.......lol

Actually it did start the day rather well but the markets turned south after midday quickly. Guess it must be something to do the Brexit talk uncertainty then. In fact oil was up but RDS still went down, can't say I am not a bit annoyed and disappointed!!(angry emoji face)...

One positive thing is, Ted is now only 1.5% from break even and Lloyds dropped 7.13% since I sold up. So far so good hey... hahahaha

Well, anyway how was your day? Guess you got to be busy this time of the year. But never mind, you'll get your Xmas break soon hey?

Yes, although I am more or less a disabled but I did enjoy my life with nothing to complain about. Also, I was kind of lucky to be able to retire early when I was only 57. My family is living only 3 miles from me. So I can see them anytime I like(but not this year because of the Covid-19). And since I have got used to live alone for so long. The lockdown does no harm to me at all. I still enjoy the same activities everyday like before, lol

The markets did not do too well today. Got 4 blue and 5 red. Luckily GGP did well, which was enough to cover others with a little bit to spare....hahahaha

How was your portfolio doing then? Hope you didn't lose too much. But anyway, let's look forward to tomorrow. It probably will be better. If not next week then. Got to be optimistic hey?

How wonderful your life was/is! It sounds so exciting and fulfilling indeed compare to mine. I seldom took part in all sports since my childhood days and often a nobody in all activities. Since I started to lose my hearing in my early days, I became more and more self isolated. Because I lack the ability to communicate with the others. I spent most of my spare time with my wife and children. The thing was, my wife loved visiting shopping centres. Therefore I took the family to visit shopping centres all over the country in weekends as far as Glasgow and Edinburgh during our annual holidays. Lol, this must sound boring to you, hahahaha. In fact I have no interest in shopping only keeping my wife's company. The only thing I like was eating in the food court when visiting shopping centres. Sometimes, I sat on the bench in the hall way of the shopping centres waiting whilst the wife was walking from shop to shop with children. I would fell asleep after waiting for hours. Kept asking the wife:" Are we done yet? Can we go home now?"........and now, I have become a couch potato doing nothing just watching TV and fish all day......you can see how differently we lived our life.........lol

But I have got used to it and enjoyed being lazy all my life.... Lol

Argh, now I got one more thing to do and that is watching the share movements on Google during weekdays..... hahahahaha!!!

And time to get up again for my big mug of coffee now.

You sure have a lot to talk about your chess matches. I have no doubt that you must enjoy playing the game very much. Nice to hear that you really are a good sport. There are too many bad losers who only wanted to win and can't bear to lose, lol

Well, my portfolio started the day nicely but few of them fell back at the closed. Surprisingly, RDSB is the best performer today for me together with M&G but yesterday's star performer Ted was today's only loser. Well, I am not complaining as long I am winning however small amount.....lol

Anyway, I also got dividend from RDSB today, although not a lot and tomorrow VOD will also go ex-div. Fingers and toes crossed that the SP will not suffer too big of a drop(terrifying emoji face).....

Just had a quick look at Google. All my shares were blue to start the day with. Think I'll enjoy my mug of coffee much more now... hahahaha!!

Lol, I overslept. Got to get out of bed now but I don't eat breakfast, only have a mug of coffee. I didn't used to like coffee, just learned to take it when visiting my son's in-laws years ago. They make their coffee differently with a full cup of milk. Heat it up in the microwave for 3 minutes then add one teaspoon of coffee powder. The milk will become a little sweet when it has been heated up. I began to like it from then on. Now, I make myself a large mug like that every morning. Also I drink tea all day. Several cups a day but I never finished them, only drank half a cup at most but I finish my large mug of coffee every morning......lol

Btw, did you enjoy your chess match and did your team win?

Well, now I better get out of bed...

A mixed day for the shares today. But truly lucky that GGP did not crash after the news of changing CEO. It has actually closed a little bit blue as well. Also Ted was my star performer of my entire portfolio, which has gone up 10%! Now only 2% down from my purchase price....lol Elsewhere weren't so rosy. GSK was horrible, so was VOD and NG. Well, you win some, lose some hey? But I am a bit worried about GSK now. It probably will continue to drop. Hope that I am only just worried too much....lol

It does seem that you are really fond of chess. Wish your team will win. Have a great game anyway....
