So, your shares have done much better than mine, lucky you! After waiting for four long days. My portfolio was almost the same at the closed. Can't say I wasn't disappointed. Let's hope tomorrow will be a better. Got to be a bit more optimistic hey?....lol

Well, I don't mind if you like to join me buying GGP and SYME. I am sure you can't jinx it but I believe SYME probably has got more head room than GGP because it's still only 0.6p. GGP is already 37p. Of course you can't take my word for it, since I am an idiot investor as you should know very well...... hahahahaha

But whatever you do with your money. I'll only wish you the very best of luck.

Good evening CSDI, my friend.

How was your day? Things didn't go as expected here. All my shares did start rather well but then tailed off gradually through the day and finished the day kind of disappointing. The only notable winner of my portfolio was SYME. Think that I probably have done the right thing topping it up.......lol

My average for SYME now after topping up is 0.573p. It finished the day @ 0.64p. I sold RDSB @£12.886 and it closed @12.806. It seems that I am ahead so far but this is only day one. Far too early to tell which will the final winner yet......hahahahaha

The rest of my portfolio was mixed. Maybe it was an even day with no gain and no loss or just a very small increase in total value. How about you? Was your portfolio much better than mine?

I took your advice and started a new thread. Hope that you are not going to miss it. Good evening again and look forward to your reply.

lol yes, I am quite happy with the rise of my shares' SP. And you know what? I sold 400 RDSB in my ISA account and bought more SYME. RDSB SP started to moved up right after I have sold. I have done it again! Isn't it magical? But anyway, SYME SP did not fall because I have topped up(so far).......hahahaha

Now I hope I have done the right thing. I regret that I didn't do anything when GGP was on it's way up and only watched it rising from 3p to now 37+p. I am kicking myself for being such a fool now. My portfolio would be in blue long ago if I was brave enough to top up when the SP was much lower. Well, that's me, a terrible investor! Now, I have bought more SYME. Will it go up like GGP? Only God knows.........lol

Good to hear that you had a good break. The long wait is finally over. 4 days seemed a lifetime with the stock exchange closing.

Well, I am completely the opposite. I am using my mobile phone to do anything, including online shopping, buy and sell shares and playing online games(stopped about a year ago, used to be hooked). I have stopped using my PC for a long time. the only I use it is to submit my self assessment tax return once a year. Oh, and occasionally watch Netflix but now I must use it to chat with you because my phone is unable read or write after this topic has grown to more than 4 pages.....lol

Anyway, here we are, only half an hour to go....hooray!

The FTSE100 is up again. So is the oil and gold. Let's hope we'll enjoy a blue day. Wish all of us luck! Talk again later my friend.

yup, it's something wrong with my phone. now I have turned on my PC and everything is here, no posts are missing.

No, I think I'll stick with what I have got. I don't have extra fund to do rainbows chasing at this moment anyway. So, I shall stay put and see how things will go for now.

The Yankees are doing well at the moment, up more than 200 points. Both the FTSE100 and oil are also up, tomorrow will be very likely to open blue here too.

Well, I hope that you, your Mrs and your father-in-law had a good Christmas. I had a quiet one myself with no family around...... it's only just a little different.

Yes indeed, the reactions to the Brexit talk results are mostly positive. Now the FTSE100 future is up, the oil is up and the gold also up a tiny little bit too. The markets will probably open with a sea of blue tomorrow morning but I wonder will RDSB and GSK also be benefited too?

Fortunately, my portfolio consists of a few Brexit deal victors. I hope they will be able to cover my losers. I also got three speculative shares(soon will be four when my NIGHTCAP starts trading after January 13), which are GGP, TED and SYME. Maybe I am a bit too greedy there....hahahaha

You were right, SYME BB is occupied by rampers and de-rampers. I read it yesterday and that was absolutely horrible. There's nothing helpful or useful at all. People there were only just locking horns and pulling hair. It was really shameful and disgusting! These people probably had too much to drink over Xmas or got too much time in their hands......lol

Well, it does seem that so far so good. The reactions to the Brexit talk results are mostly positive but I wonder will it be all round benefitted from this deal? Right now, the FTSE100 future is up, the gold is up but the oil is down. Therefore I fear that RDSB or maybe GSK both will continue to struggle even the rest of the markets will enjoy a big rise when open tomorrow. I hope I am wrong and look forward to a recovery. So that I will be able to recoup all my losses in 2021. Fingers and toes crossed, wish all of us luck.....hahahaha

Wow, you seem to have a very heavy work load there. Good for you can still take time off to be with your family for Xmas. Well I meant with you father-in-law. Too bad that you'll miss the get together with your children and grandchildren because of that terrible covid-19 but you are not alone. Millions are going through the same ordeal too. I for one will also stay at home this year cooking my own Christmas dinner. Let's hope 2021 will be better that all things will be back to normal. In the meantime, hope that you will have a great time.

I also read about the strange after hour shares SP with few brokers on GGP BB. Think it's just a glitch. There's nothing to worry about. You won't lose anything and it should go back to normal soon.

Also the news of Brexit talk ends with a deal probably will have a great impact on the UK financial markets when it opens on Tuesday morning. I am hoping for a delayed Santa rally......ho ho ho....

Good afternoon CSDI, my friend.

The markets finished almost unchanged. Thought it would be a late rally but anyway, it wasn't so bad after all. My portfolio ended the day with a small gain. It was rescued by GGP, a star performer yet once again. Elsewhere was mixed with small percentage drops and rises. RDSB, GSK and NG all suffered small losses Except Ted, which has gone down more than 2%. Selling Lloyds(up 4+%) and bought it seemed quite a mistake now unless the situation will improve....lol

SYME was also a notable winner for the day. Unfortunately, it's just a tiny proportion of my portfolio. Even a 6.3% increase only makes a measly £238 profit......but it's enough to cover nearly half of the £500 I put in NIGHTCAP....... hahahaha

My other winner including MNG, LGEN and SLA, all are insurance related. They are kind of Brexit deal victors. Therefore all enjoyed a blue day. If the talk really will strike a deal then I am sure all these three will go up more and those heavy weights of my portfolio mentioned above will suffer even more. Well, you can't win them all. Good to have a balanced portfolio, you win some, lose some......

Wish you and your family a HAPPY CHRISTMAS and a prosperous 2021!.......but don't drink too much.....lol

....more latest news: UK & EU is very likely to strike a deal and an announcement is expected early today. The markets will go up this morning but Brexit deal victors will benefit more. So, probably more people will sell GSK and buy Lloyds. But let's hope not....

In order to seal a deal, UK government has given away huge concessions to the EU. If the deal has been struck then we may see a late Santa rally tomorrow and after Christmas. It will mean that Lloyds will shoot through the roof leaving my Ted behind to do the catching up. Oh my! That's what I am good at but I hope that some of my other shares will be benefited too.......lol

Good afternoon/evening my friend.

So, you have been busy with your Xmas last minute rush then huh? I have done mine. In fact I have given my family their Xmas presents in advance...and I don't fancy Xmas pudding at all. It's too heavy for me..... hahahaha

Well yes, another funny day in the financial markets but it eventually ended the day in blue. Surprise, surprise!! Only two of my shares gone red(GSK and GGP). GGP started the day wonderfully and did reach a new high too but fell back just below yesterday's level at the closed. First red day for it in more than a week. As you should know that GSK was performing terribly throughout the day. I blamed the Covid-19 new variant for the SP fall because all the pharmaceutical shares were down!! Elsewhere, my Ted rebounded well but not as good as the bloody Lloyds. It went through the roof up 7%. Now the two are neck and neck with Lloyds about half % ahead....GRRRRRRR

Tomorrow will be the last trading day before Christmas. Let's hope it will go smoothly, so that we can have a nice festival, stress free......lol

Rise and shine. Another day is about to dawn but the FTSE100 future is down, the oil is down, the Brexit talk is still dragging on, the covid-19 is still causing panic and on top of that, 3000 lorries are in Kent waiting for the French to open the border. I don't think it will be a good day or at least it won't be a good start. Hey, what is new? After all these days, we have already got used to this. No matter what will happen, I am sure we can get through it just like before. So, come on! Let's bring it on!

How I wish I have read about IPO then I would not have touched NightCap but like what I said that it's a lesson for me to learn. I hope that I shall be able to recoup part of my £500.....lol

The weather is miserable here today. Not so great for walking and I already went to the supermarket and back. Enough walking for today, lol. In fact I seldom go out this time of the year as I am a couch potato. I only do about 15 minutes of soft exercise stretching my arms and legs in the morning but I walk to the supermarket about half a mile away and back every other day. I think it's enough for me......hahahaha!!

Btw, I just got news from Primary Bid telling me that I got full allocation for my subscription to Night Cap, which means the issue was not fully subscribed and most definitely it will tank when it starts trading from January 13....but hey ho, it's only £500. Consider lessons learned from taking part in an IPO for the first time....lol
