Stand to be corrected but I think VOD pays dividends twice a year. So, the total dividend would about 8.12p per annum, which is 6.24% at today's current SP.

True, this is why I am holding as well. If we can get through this difficult time then we shall see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Yes indeed, that's the trouble with VOD. It puts more food in its mouth than it can chew. Now most of the profit has gone to cover the interest payments of its debt. Doesn't even have enough left to pay the dividend....oh my!

Yes, the Oxford vaccine has been approved but it has no effect on TED SP unfortunately. We are still a far cry from 135p.

Oil is still rising and the FTSE100 future is up nearly 50 points right now. It does look like that tomorrow will be another blue day for RDS. Well, let's hope so anyway.

Of course it would be nice to have the dividend increased but it also means that the debt will pile up once again if VOD has to borrow to cover the payout. Therefore I rather it stays as it is, since the current dividend is already high enough compare to many other blue chips. Also if the debt has been brought down to more manageable (less interest to pay) then it will help to push up the SP. Wouldn't it??

Hi Nomad1. Actually, it's the problem with my phone. I turned on my PC and all the mails were there. Nothing were missing. I think my phone can only go up to 4 pages. In fact RDSB(NL) closed down 1.32% on AEX today. Doesn't look too good for tomorrow when it opens for trading here.

I think the correct dates are:

Ex-divi date: 12 November 2020
Pay date: 14 January 2021

....and now the oil also has turned red too. Not a good sign for RDS.....

Well, right now the FTSE100 future is up and the oil is also up. The markets probably will open with a sea of blue tomorrow. Let's hope that RDSB will also enjoy the rise as well....
