The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Good evening robleo, oh yes, it's all just a gamble when buying or selling a share. You never know which way it will go afterwards. But I was lucky to have sold TUI when it has gone over Β£6 and sold PSN at 1475 then bought them back yesterday ended up with an extra 80 shares with the money from the sale, lol.
I should have sold LGEN as well when it got up to 253. Well, you can't win them all, and there is always the next chance hey? Also It seems that selling my LLOY and BARC shares wasn't a bad idea either. They both fell more afterwards. I probably can buy LLOY back at under 40p, if the market wobbles one more time.
Have a good evening mate and good luck.
It must be 3 or 4 times that LGEN had reached 253 and fell back. Now, I have made up my mind to sell it the next time when it gets there once again, then buy it back if it retraces to under 245. The only thing is that will it fall back again next time when gets to over 253? Most likely it won't, particularly if I have sold it, lol. ππππ
I have bought back all my shares yesterday and ended up with extra 80 shares. Let's hope that the retrace is now done, and we'll see Β£15 soon. Good luck to everyone. Have a great day!
Yes S_K_R, I know TUI is a good recovery play. I have no doubt that the SP can reach that level if the right conditions are given. Unfortunately, potential and reality is different. We probably will see Β£9 this year, but equally it probably will go back Β£4 again, if something nasty happens to the world. Therefore we can only wish that all things come to us will be good. Hope that the Middle East conflicts and the war in Ukraine will not escalate.
So, good luck to everyone and to the world.π€π€π€
Well, I first bought TUI after its latest RI at 517. Then I topped up twice at 555 and 580. Saw it dropped all the way to below Β£5. I topped up again at 490 and brought my break even to 538.8, but it kept on falling to touch Β£4! My total paper losses at that point was over Β£5k! I didn't expect to be able to get out alive at 628 and made over Β£4k of profit. The total turnaround from its Β£4 low was over Β£9k? I was greedy and gave back Β£1k with my two unsuccessful trades afterwards. Still, that was a lucky escape for me...phew...
I have also sold mine at 628 before Xmas, but was greedy and traded it twice afterwards, giving back Β£1k of my profits. Well, lucky I have stopped buying it back since. Otherwise, I would be back into losses now, because it has fallen to below my original break even of 538.8. This is really a lucky escape for me!πππ
...."it" not "it's"...
Usually it's bounces up immediately when it drops like this, but not today. It's kind of free fall here now. No idea how low will it go, but surely looks like more drops to come.
I think she needs to be put down.
It's about to touch the 42's soon. We were hoping for 50p not so long ago, but now it's down almost 11% from it's high of 48.4p. Oh my, this is unbelievable!
I have noticed every share has many odd trades with single digits, often just one share even zero share! Those trades must be done by shorters or someone wants to push the SP up. πππ
Stupmy, I don't think anyone here can answer your question. You better ask your broker, mate.
By the way, in order to help your short, did you sell one single share at 534.5058? π π π
Sorry, should read: "for the people of the world's sake"...
I think we are now living in a very dangerous time. I really wish all these middle east conflicts and the war in Ukraine will not escalate any further for the world's sake.
Well bald_eagle, it's only a joke mate. Also, if things like that happen, then it probably will give the markets a little stir. Will it not?
So, we should be able to see lgen's sp going higher in the near term. Provided that the Houthis missiles are not going to sink the US Carrier Carl Vinson in the Red sea, lol. πππ
Yes, apart from Questor, there are two more tips here:
Berenberg raises Legal & General to 'buy' (hold) - price target 289 (258) pence
Deutsche Bank raises Legal & General price target to 305 (295) pence - 'buy'
Thanks howaboutthatthen, for your correction.
Hahaha, think I am getting more and more obsessed with the get rich quick scheme. It's now winter. Will be cold without my shirt and pants. So, hope that I am not going to lose them, lol π πππ
Lol chip, how slowly do you want?
The SP is lower than last year this time, and the year before, and the year before, and the year before.......and the....
I think just the opposite, slowly, slowly, you are losing the monkey, hahahahaπ π π π
Good evening robleo, sorry to reply you late. For I didn't come to this BB for more than a day, lol.
Well, in fact I have done quite a few sales and purchases in the past 24 hours. If you read the lloy BB, then you should know that I have sold my lloy shares for a 1.5p per share loss. I have also sold my Barc and PSN too yesterday. I made profits on these two. Then I have topped up RR and MKS (twice in a day but both were down since addedπ‘π‘). RR was closed down as well yesterday but up quite a bit today.
I have also applied for the PNN placing, which has dropped to below the placing price yesterday on the first day of its admission for trafing, but again it has recouped all the losses and well up today.ππ
Today, I have bought easyJet after reading the Bank of America's recommendation. Now you can see how busy I am, lol.ππ
I hope things will get better for you this year. My best wishes to you, have a very good evening and a nice weekend, mate.
