The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Domestic shale gas, like North Sea gas, would sell at global market prices. No relief there other than energy security.
"Unlikely....FIG wouldn't accept them as licence holder?"
Why is that Bootledodger?
And in a midst of a pandemic?
"a policy holder is unlikely to sell their policy should they believe their poor health will lead to their imminent demise"
GB, you are right.
I am not too sure about the so called $300 million AUM after the Providence acquisition
According to the published accounts:
Total assets in insurance business £208,484,446
Total liabilities in insurance business £206,355,490
Net AUM = £2,148,956
Just for academic interest, Susan Cunningham of Noble Energy said in 2014 about the Noble Frontier barge (the TDF) " the barge was jointly purchased with Premier Oil after reaching agreements with the Falkland Islands Government."
So after Noble walked, Premier was stuck with owning it. The decomm liability, if it is ever realised would be 60/40: HBR/RKH
Garbled asks............
Who owns the TDF ?
It was built and owned by Noble then, who took the ownership
Since Noble left the Falklands?
-------------------
In January 2018 it was reported in Mercopress as follows:
"An agreement has been signed by the Falkland Islands Government (FIG) with Premier Oil to secure the use of THEIR (my capitalisation) Temporary Dock Facility until March 31, 2018. This pilot project is intended to test the market for additional berthing capacity within Stanley Harbor and to facilitate maintenance works on FIPASS."
That would suggest that Premier was the dock owner at that time and Harbour is now the owner.
Blue Horse called it a day a couple of years ago, and has exited the BB building. That's for sure, don't doubt it.
Any cancellation of a company’s securities on AIM will be conditional upon seeking shareholder approval in general meeting of not less than 75% of votes cast by its shareholders present and voting (in person or by proxy) at the meeting
"Been on the booze ?"
Is it Saturday?
"Do you really think that they'd tell YOU what's going on"
They have obviously told the Italians what is going on, hence the double attempt by the RoI to quash the case on jurisdiction grounds. You would be surprised how people can inadvertently let cats out of the bag on phone calls and emails.
We are all equal before the Lord, even you BlooBird.
I don't think for a minute they will tell me what is going on. It will be more interesting as to whether any reply arrives, as in "are they dead or alive?" Are they human or are they dancer? It's a Killer, isn't it?
Paul
That is a good reason to chase them. The World Bank is an international public body. They ought to be accountable. They were willing to say their work was finished last July. It's poop or get off the potty surely?
If they put an email addy out there for public access, they must expect the public to access it. I have not had an "out of office" reply, so they must be on the jobby so to speak
I might be wasting my time, but I have sent an email to the arbiters on the Panel with public email addys, to ask what is going on, what is the delay and when do they expect to report.
I was fascinated by Candi Cane’s tale of Gobind’s global holiday adventures as posted on a “family Instagram account”, and so went looking for it rather than waiting for her to put a link up.
I was surprised to find a US website which gives a lot of personal information about the guy, including the names of family members. One of his family, who seems to be his wife (they are pictured together and named as a couple at a San Diego beach club dinner, as confirmation) is a travel adviser and holiday organiser. She does indeed keep an Instagram record of her work travels and she was indeed in Hawaii in December and Monaco a bit earlier. She is photographed with a guy who is similar in looks to Gobind but is clearly not him (far too young).
I have looked at every holiday post over the last couple of years, I don’t find Gobind in any of them. The Instagram account is not “family” holidays but her business record.
So even though he ain’t saying much, I don’t think he is on holiday!
GP, I think you may be correct. Theoretically a reservoir with zero permeability has a recovery factor of zero and one with infinite permeability will have the optimum recovery factor. There seem to be many technical papers which discuss the plateau space in between, but high permeability intervals can lead to premature water breakthrough from aquifer drives/ water injection and the oil viscosity plays a role too, as does specific gravity; all of which can reduce overall recovery factors.
So it looks like the Curate's egg to me....good in parts.

This link is useful, but it makes no mention of permeabilty as part of the reserves calculation
We now have facts upon which we can make rational investing decisions, rather than the ramblings of posters. So the price rises.
Coincidently, The Monte Grosso prospect also had aa 23% COS!
It's Monte Grosso with 23% interest , not Ombrina Mare, surely?
