RE: Rusty Interview15 Jul 2024 15:52
Good interview. I have been an investor for more than 2 years and kept adding. The surprising thing about the latest deal is that it brought in a new anchor investor who will have influence over the company direction. Although the company issued new shares and natural gas prices are still depressed, DEC's share price has broken out to the upside. I think the new shareholder was a key catalyst to that. The people behind Crescent Pass Energy are seasoned investors in the energy space. For instance, co-founder Andrew Heyman, ex-Goldman Sachs and advisor Garry Morris, former CFO of Halliburton. So beyond the assets they acquire, DEC also acquired a high quality stakeholder in the company. I believe that underpins credibility and will help steady the ship in the future. Rusty is an avid dealmaker, whereas Crescent Pass Energy has gone at a much steadier and cautious pace. So the blend of the two points to a more paced and healthier development path for the future.
